Remove the integrator926_defconfig configuration, which has not been
updated since a very long time, and targets hardware that is quite
difficult, not to say impossible, to get.
While Qemu has an emulation for the Integrator CP platform, it doesn't
seem to emulate a hard drive, which makes it not very useful. In
addition, we already have the qemu_arm_versatile_defconfig for an
ARMv5 platform emulated in Qemu.
Therefore, let's get rid of this fairly old and never updated
defconfig.

This defconfig has not been updated since a long time, and it now
fails to build because the latest version of U-Boot has removed for
the Snowball because nobody converted it to the new U-Boot
standards. And our defconfig was not specifying an explicit U-Boot
version for it.
On the kernel side, the Git repository has not seen any commits since
3 years, and generally speaking, the Snowball project and the SoC it
is based on are no longer being developed.
Consequently, let's get rid of this defconfig altogether.

The i.MX6 SoloX SABRE board for smart devices is Freescale's reference design
board based on the heterogeneous ARM Cortex-A9 + Cortex-M4 i.MX6 SoloX
applications processor.
This defconfig is inspired from previous freescale_imx6*sabresd_defconfig, and
is based on Freescale "official" git repo on git.freescale.com and SW release
3.10.53_1.1.0_ga.

The Virtualizer Development Kit (VDK) Family for ARM Cortex Products
consists of a set of virtual prototypes that provide a virtualizer for
the ARM core variants. The VDK is a standalone package that runs on an
host computer.

The current commit used for the kernel Git repository for Cubieboard,
274a66a7bfcbaabb88d63e4eba161965383cc416, actually points to 3.0
kernel. This is incorrect since the kernel headers version specified
by the defconfig is 3.4. And anyway, the 3.4 kernel is kind of the
official vendor kernel for Allwinner platforms.
mfld.fr@gmail.com reported in bug #7931 that commit
9a1cd034181af628d4145202289e1993c1687db6 was working for him. It is
the latest commit in the sunxi-3.4 branch. So we switch to using this
commit, which was build tested successfully.
While we're at it, remove the definition of BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_VERSION
from the defconfig: it doesn't make sense to have it defined in a
defconfig, as it's a blind option that gets defined from the value of
BR2_LINUX_KERNEL_CUSTOM_REPO_VERSION when a Git repository is used to
source the kernel.

The at91rm9200df_defconfig configuration is really old: it builds a
2.6.38 kernel with the old days kernel patches and a 2010.06
U-Boot. It hasn't been updated since a long time, so let's get rid of
it.
The at91sam9260dfc_defconfig, at91sam9261ek_defconfig and
at91sam9263ek_defconfig refer to kernel defconfigs that no longer
exists, so they fail to build.

The SoC of the Raspberry Pi 1 is an ARM1176JZF-S, which features a VFPv2
FPU, so use the EABIhf target ABI, which is more efficient than EABI.
This is also the default on Raspbian.

Bump U-boot version to 2015.07 from the mainline repository. Since there
is SPL support for the wandboard in the U-boot 2015.07, it is now
possible to boot the same U-boot image for all wandboard variants
(solo/dual/quad).
Bump kernel version to 3.14.28_1.0.0 from the wandboard git repository.
Tested on Wandboard Solo, Wandboard Dual and Wandboard Quad.

The Barebox, AT91Bootstrap and Linux patches for the Calao QIL A9260
board are all located in the same directory, board/calao/qil-a9260/,
with only a prefix to indicate to which component they apply.
Unfortunately, since commit 0eba4759fa
("packages: apply custom patches using *.patch instead of
<pkg>-*.patch"), the logic to apply custom patches in Barebox and
AT91Bootstrap has been changed from applying <package>-*.patch to
applying *.patch (in order to be consistent with what we do for all
packages in Buildroot).
However, this had the effect of trying to apply both the AT91Bootstrap
and Barebox patches on both packages, which obviously cannot work.
This commit fixes that by moving patches around, and switching to use
BR2_GLOBAL_PATCH_DIR for all of Barebox, AT91Bootstrap and Linux
patches.
In addition, the defconfig was not specifying explicitly which Barebox
version to use, so right now it's trying to use Barebox 2015.09, on
which the board-specific patch does not apply. So we've forced to use
Barebox 2012.08, which was the lastest release available at the time
the defconfig was initially contributed.

This defconfig tries to fetch its kernel source code and U-Boot source
code from gitorious.org, which is not longer available. Therefore,
this defconfig has been failing to build since quite some time. Since
there's no obvious other place to grab the kernel and u-boot source
code, and the defconfig was not updated since a long time, let's
simply get rid of it.

Virtualizer Development Kits (VDKs) are software development kits
containing design-specific virtual prototypes as well as debug and
analysis tools and sample software.
With this change we add support for VDK based on ARC HS38 core.
Note that FS-overlay is required to allow instantiation of console on
both serial port and LCD screen simultaneously.

Linux kernel 4.2 was finally released, so bumping from 4.2-rc5 to
final release.
Updating Linux headers to 4.2 branch since they are introduced in
Buildroot as well already.
Also adding 1 back-ported patch that makes SD/MMC cards usable on AXS
boards. This patch will be a part of 4.3 (already in linux-next) and
hopefully will make its way in 4.2.1.
Once that patch appears in 4.2.x it can be removed from here.

Nitrogen6x. They also share the same u-boot "autoboot" script.
The differences between the two configurations are:

The AXS10x Platform consists of a DesignWare AXC001 CPU
Card (with ARC 770D core) in case of AXS101 or AXC003 CPU Card
(typically with ARC HS38 core) in case of AXS103 mounted on an
ARC Software Development Platform Mainboard with DesignWare peripherals:
* SD/MMC contoller
* Gigabit network contoller
* Serial ports (8250-compatible)
* USB 2.0
* SPI
* I2C
It also houses HDMI output for external monitor connection.
For stand-alone usage of the board (with only keyboard, mouse and montor
attached) kernel console and getty made available on tty0 as well as on
serial port (ttyS3).

This patch changes the U-Boot's default environment to
boot Zedboard out-of-the-box from SD card.
The sdboot procedure tries to load a file system.bit into
the Zynq's PL (only if it exists). It is also possible to
alter the booting by an uEnv.txt file located on your SD card.
The uEnv.txt is a plain text file with <key>=<value> pairs
one per line.

The U-Boot v2015.07 builds working SPL without a manual
intervention. The BOOT.BIN is generated from the standard
SPL so no BR2_TARGET_UBOOT_SPL_NAME redefinition is needed.
The SPL requires the u-boot-dtb.img file to boot properly.

This patch adds a genimage config file and a post-image script for the
Wandboard, to generate a medium image "sdcard.img", ready to be booted.
The image contains the layout explained in the board readme.txt file:
U-Boot, its environment, and an Ext2 rootfs partition.
The defconfig has been slightly changed to enable this feature. Also
lighten the readme file since the config file is documented and simpler.
Tested on a Wandboard Solo.

This is largely the same as altera_sockit_defconfig.
It uses a fresher Linux and u-boot than SocKit. It also speeds the
serial port up to 115200.
The post-image script is generalized by adding
BR2_ROOTFS_POST_SCRIPT_ARGS and moving it up the altera directory.
Similarly, the readme is moved up and made more generic.

Those scripts are executed by u-boot in order to detect the hardware
configuration (board, displays etc...), configure the bootargs and
device tree accordingly or update the bootloader located in NOR flash.
This update is necessary due to the kernel bump to version 3.10.53.
The rework consists of replacing the binaries by their text file
equivalent and generate the binaries from the post-build.sh script.

Update to the latest stable kernel version; build an in-tree DTB; use
a in-tree defconfig; enable C++ (to match what we have in the non-DT
variant); do not install DTB overlays (this minimalist config does not
make use of them).
Generate the DTBs for both the "original" variant (A and B) and the
"Plus" variant (A+ and B+).
Drop our custom linux defconfig file now we use an in-tree one.

Mkfs.jffs2 accepts a --pagesize parameter, which allows specifying the size
of the virtual memory page size of the target machine, where the image will
be used. (This is the value of the PAGE_SIZE macro in Linux.) In most cases
the parameter doesn't need to be set as the default value of 4 kB is usually
correct.
The parameter was used incorrectly in Buildroot -- it was set to the page
size of flash memory chip -- this commit fixes this problem. Now the
--pagesize parameter is not used at all (unless the user explicitly chooses
to use a custom value during configuration). All existing defconfigs were
corrected to match the new configuration variable names.

The Linux kernel does force compile with -m4-nofpu, which is only
available when building a multilib toolchain.
The interesting part here is, that buildroot use --disable-multilib for
gcc configure, but enables --with-multilib-list=m4,m4-nofpu in
the default configuration for Qemu targeting r2d emulation.
This results in a toolchain, which can be used for the kernel and
for userland without creating a multilib toolchain with different
kinds of libgcc version. In the multilib case there would be
subdirectories created (!m4 and m4-nofpu). As buildroot uses a
short version of toolchain creation, a multilib enabled gcc build
fails when creating libgcc.
So the best solution is to just keep multilib disabled, but always
add --with-multilib-list when sh4/sh4eb/sh4a/sh4aeb is choosen.
Tested with sh4/sh4a toolchain build and qemu defconfig with
gcc 4.8.x/4.9.x (with and without C++ enabled), uClibc and glibc.
Disable sh4a/sh4aeb for uClibc, as it does not implemented, yet.

This changes the kernel used on the Raspberry Pi 2 from the 3.19 branch
back to the 3.18 branch. This provides a couple of advantages:
1. mmc0 works again. Floris Bos found out that this was due to using
the precompiled DTB files from rpi-firmware. These DTBs were built
using 3.18.
2. The rpi-3.18.y branch is not regularly rebased like rpi-3.19.y
according to popcornmix. See

BR2_PACKAGE_RPI_FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DTBS became ineffective in commit a5ce7590c4
(package/rpi-firmware: bump version), and was removed in commit 4e92ffdc47
(rpi-firmware: remove no longer used BR2_PACKAGE_RPI_FIRMWARE_INSTALL_DTBS).
Remove it from the Pi configs.
Also, remove the now obsolete comment in these config files.

We use a manually specified custom version 3.19.2 of the linux kernel
for i.MX28, but linux-headers defaults to a 2.6.x family.

The i.MX28 Evaluation Kit (or EVK) is Freescale's evaluation board based on the

SABRE Board for Automotive Infotainment (SABRE Auto, a.k.a. SABRE-AI) is
Freescale's evaluation board based on the i.MX 6 ARM Cortex-A9 applications

The i.MX31 Product Development Kit (or PDK) is Freescale development board
based on the i.MX31 application processor.

Update configuration to use the 3.18.8 kernel and update U-Boot to
2015.01. With the switch to 2015.01. use the U-Boot SPL image for the
first stage bootloader instead of the at91bootstrap. The U-Boot SPL
requires that the U-Boot image format be u-boot.img in order to load
from the SD card.

This is an example of a Device-Tree-enabled Raspberry Pi defconfig.
We have to use a 3.18-based kernel for that, but there are a few
limitations:
- we can not use the minimalist RPi defconfig bundled with the kernel,
namely bcmrpi_quick_defconfig, because it is not DT-enabled, and
sets CONFIG_ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT to 'n', which prompts a value for
CONFIG_PHYS_OFFSET, as it as no default for the bcm familly;
- most importantly, the rpi-3.18.y branch is constantly rebased, so
there is no guarantee that the sha1 I use today will still be usable
in the long term. Using the name of hte branch is not better either.
So, we bundle our own DT-enabled linux defconfig that is based on
bcmrpi_quick_defconfig, with just CONFIG_ARM_PATCH_PHYS_VIRT set and the
Device TRee enabled.

We had this option in the defconfig because the kernel defconfig we
provide doesn't have CONFIG_DEVTMPFS and CONFIG_DEVTMPFS_MOUNT, so a
/dev management which creates the devices dynamically using only
devtmpfs would not work. However, CONFIG_DEVTMPFS and
CONFIG_DEVTMPFS_MOUNT are automatically added to the kernel config when
you build the kernel using Buildroot, except when you choose
BR2_ROOTFS_DEVICE_CREATION_STATIC as a /dev management. This is handled
by linux/linux.mk.

Since the apf9238 support is in the mainline kernel, we can bump to
kernel 3.17.2.
The patches can be removed because:
- linux-3.1.1-0001-fixes_arm_mach-types_for_apf9328.patch is no
longer needed, since the machine number for apf9328 is now
upstream.
- linux-3.1.1-0002-add_missing_config_option_for_apf9328.patch is no
longer needed, because the MTD_CFI_INTELEXT option is selected by
the imx_v4_v5_defconfig.

The gcc 4.4 version has been deprecated recently, so we cannot use it
anymore. Since this platform is just using a normal ARM processor with
nothing special, we can expect the default gcc version to just work.

Very similar to the older Minnowboard, except that it works with mainline
Linux, uses 64bit firmware and a realtek NIC needing firmware.

The current defconfigs for iMX6 SABRESD kernel 3.10.17 from the Freescale
git repository. This kernel is older than the toolchain kernel headers
used in Buildroot (currently 3.16.3).
Explicitly lock down the kernel headers to match the version of the kernel
that is built.

Buildroot supplies a nice /init wrapper script to use when booting from a
ramdisk.
We add a patch to u-boot to tell the kernel to boot into /init (instead of
/linuxrc) on i.MX6, when booting in mfgtools mode. This way we can boot a
buildroot system entirely through USB.

This is very similar to freescale_imx6qsabresd_defconfig, which supports the
i.MX6Q ("Quad", quad core CPU) version of the board, except it supports the
i.MX6DL (DualLite, dual core CPU) version.
The differences are in the U-boot configuration and the device tree file.

This defconfig is specific to the SABRESD board equipped with the iMX6Q SoC.
Rename it for clarity in order to avoid confusion with the upcoming

Since we marked the AVR32 architecture deprecated, it can no longer be
selected in a normal configuration. This has caused the AVR32
defconfigs to fail to build in our daily Jenkins tests. In order to
make them build again, they must use BR2_DEPRECATED=y. Of course, when
we remove AVR32 completely, we'll remove those defconfigs as well.

Since 3.0.x was EOL and deprecated this would cause it to use newer
headers than the kernel and cause issues.
So switch to custom kernel headers version string to fix this.

Those defconfigs rely on gcc 4.3.x, which was said to be the only gcc
version that was producing a working kernel. Since we have removed gcc
4.3.x, those defconfigs no longer build. Also, the kernel being used
in these defconfigs was 2.6.32, but there is a "new" 2.6.39 kernel
available from the lpclinux.com git repository, which maybe works fine
with more recent compilers.
However, those defconfigs were contributed by Alexandre Belloni, who
no longer has access to the hardware, so we have no way to verify that
a compiler update + kernel update actually works.
Therefore, we simply remove those defconfigs.

The Boundary Devices Nitrogen6X comes in a number of variants
with different processors, and the kernel and userspace is
compatible with the SABRE Lite (BD-SL-i.MX6), Nitrogen6_Lite,
and Nitrogen6_Max boards.
This patch adds support for these boards through the
corresponding .dtb files.

The Lego Mindstorms EV3 brick comprises a Texas Instruments AM1808 SoC, with
an ARM 926EJ-S main processor running at 300 MHz.

Bump zedboard defconfig to version 2014.1. This makes it possible to use
uboot-spl instead of the xilinx specific fsbl. However, the result is kinda
hacky due to the licensing state of ps7_init.{c,h} needed for building uboot
spl. Directions for building a proper boot.bin using the new methodolgy is
included in the readme.txt.

The calao_qil_a9260 was not specifying an explicit kernel version, so
it ended up downloading the latest kernel version, and therefore fail
to apply the patches. This commit changes the defconfig to used a
fixed kernel version, so that the patches apply properly. It fixes a
Jenkins build failure that has been occuring since quite some time.
While we're at it, also lock down the version of the kernel headers,
as noticed by Peter Korsgaard.

Upstream has been playing evil-rebase on their tree, so they now
no longer have the changeset we are currently referencing.
They have now agreed to merge instead of rebasing:

So, update the raspberrypi_defconfig to use a new changeset that
currently exists right _now_, in the hope it will not disapear in
the future (but we'll catch it pretty fast anyway, so we'll be able
to seriously bug up upstream in that case ;-) ).

This commit updates the defconfig of the foundation-v8 platform, which
can be tested under the AArch64 emulator provided by ARM. The main
change is that we switch to the mainline 3.13.6 kernel instead of a
Linaro-specific Git tree.
Another change is to update the download link for the emulator in the
instructions, in order to use the latest version of the emulator,
which was used for testing.

Since commit 2a5cf5e (check kernel headers version), we also need to
specify the series of the custom kernel headers version.
The defconfigs file that define such a custom kernel headers version
now fail to build.
Add the required _AT_LEAST_X_Y options to those config files. Done with
this (convoluted but very fast, uch faster ythan manual editing!) rule:

As of this commit the microblaze qemu targets seem broken, probably
because of commit 14e527eb66 or some qemu
limitation.
SPARC seems to have issues as well, the kernel seems to go down with an
unhandled exception with qemu 1.7.0

boards, featuring an Altera Cyclone V SoC:

Git repo version is taken from meta-ti.
It's a 3.12.10 kernel with TI's own patches on top.
The defconfig has been kept rather close to our old defconfig.
The kernel has been boot-tested using an NFS-root.
Apart from the kernel change, the linux headers has also been
updated from 3.8.12 to 3.12.10.

Rename the defconfig to note that it's explicitly intended for the PA
kit revision since it'll likely brick a PB if the bootloader is flashed
without changing the U-Boot board name (and that it's untested in real

The patch "pandaboard: Fix defconfig build" locked the
default pandaboard kernel to 3.8.11. This is inconvenient,
since the boot process has changed since kernel > 3.8.
Update the default kernel to 3.12.2 and fix the boot image
configuration, but remain compatible with legacy U-Boot
versions by using appended flattened device tree uImage.
This change *should* keep future kernels compatible with a
fixed U-Boot version.
Note the default device tree is now for the pandaboard-ES,
so users of other board revisions will need to set the
correct DTS_NAME.

As pointed by Thomas P. kernel 3.12 oopses when loading/using the
emulated network.
Seems 3.12 broke versatile for qemu like in the past, only in a more
subtle way this time that escaped my automated qemu builds/tests.

We name all of our boards and defconfig files based on the boards
fullname, not a nickname or a shortname.
'rpi' is short for Raspberry Pi, so name all our Raspberry Pi ressource
with 'raspberrypi' instead of 'rpi'.
This should also help Buildroot-newcomers to recognise Raspberry Pi
related files (defconfig and board doc).

Bump for a slew of USB-related and other fixes.
The bcmrpi defconfig is a huge beast with lots of superfluous drivers.
The brcmrpi_quick defconfig is a stripped down minimalist defconfig with
all that is needed to bring up a RPi with complete HW support, and

The 3.10.x kernels fail to build with the following message:
vsprintf.c:(.text+0x17e0): relocation truncated to fit: R_AVR32_16N_PCREL against symbol `_ctype' defined in .text section in lib/lib.a(ctype.o)
While this is most likely a toolchain issue, but since AVR32 isn't a
well-maintained architecture, there's not much we can do.

As the beaglebone support is mainlined, there's no support for the old

the device tree.

Commit 75b7dc68 ("linux: default to 3.9, remove 3.8") made 3.9 the
default kernel version.
The omap kernel switched to multiplatform kernel during the 3.9 kernel
development cycle. Obviously, the uImage generation doesn't work anymore
with multiplatform kernels, since you have to provide the kernel load
address, resulting in a build error.
Lock down the kernel version to 3.8 to keep the old behaviour until
someone submits a patch to switch to multiplatform kernel.

the integrator926 defconfig has not been updated for quite some time,
and is still asking for very old linux and u-boot releases. Now that
these versions aren't present in Buildroot anymore, they default to a
newer release, where, in the u-boot case, the defconfig name has
changed, leading to a build failure.

This is a default configuration for the RaspberryPi, tested and functional.
The kernel used is the one developped by the RaspberryPi foundation as
it's not fully supported currently in mainline kernel. The configuration
used for the kernel is the default bcmrpi.

Update {ea3250,fdi3250,phy3250}_defconfig to lock down kernel headers to
an appropiate version.
Otherwise the target is building with, at the moment of this writing,

Note that this configuration doesn't build entirely: the user must
manually run "make busybox-menuconfig" and disable the "Mount NFS
filesystems" option, because the toolchain does not have RPC support.
This issue will be fixed once the support for toolchain without RPC
will be integrated.

Notice that you need u-boot >= 2012.04 to be able to boot kernel >= 3.2,
because older u-boots keep the l2 cache enabled, see u-boot commit
679530278 (arm, arm-kirkwood: disable l2c before linux boot) for details.

Update to use the latest kernel 3.5.4.
And also update to the latest .config knobs, otherwise we were just
building a mips(32) target which failed miserably.
This config is still flaky, you get a login prompt but usually fail to
login, passing along an init=/bin/sh helps some but crashes are quite
usual.

This is a default configuration for Panda and PandaES, tested on both
platforms.
DEVTMPFS is enabled, to use static dev configuration one would need
to update the generic dev table for ttyO driver.
Panda is well supported in mainline kernel with omap2plus_defconfig,
so this should be safe.
U-boot SPL support is enabled by default as x-loader is now
deprecated.
With OMAP platforms u-boot,img format is prefered now, so it's enabled
by default as well. Also, on PandaBoard, the name of SPL target file
is MLO.

The Avnet S6LX9 Microboard is a small USB-Stick sized module
containing a Spartan6 FPGA capable of running the Microblaze
softcore processor together with RAM and FLASH memory.
This board support pachage assumes that the Microblaze Bitfile
available from the Avnet website is programmed into the FPGA.

While upgrading the configs, it proved necessary to make more space on
the dataflash for u-boot since it grew because of relocation.
dataflash is then repartitionned to make more room for u-boot and a redundant
environment.

sh4-r2d has a serial port, however it's the second SH UART that's
emulated by Qemu so we need to adjust the kernel configuration for it to
see the relevant UART and adjust the qemu command line for it too.

Paul Jones documented at
http://pauljones.id.au/blog/2010/07/using-buildroot-on-a-mini2440/ how
to use Buildroot to generate a system for the FriendlyARM Mini2440
platform. This patch integrates Paul's work into Buildroot.
Unfortunately, the kernel being 2.6.32, we can't easily use a minimal
defconfig here. The mini2440 support has been merged into more recent
kernels, but I don't have the hardware to test.

It was supposed to be the support for AT91SAM9260 using a parallel flash
(instead of the usual dataflash). But the provided U-Boot configuration
at91sam9260pf.h was not used anywhere, and it was unsufficient to add
correct support in U-Boot (some changes in U-Boot Makefile would also be
needed). Additionnally, this configuration has not been merged into U-Boot
upstream since 2007 (when it was added to Buildroot).
Therefore, let's get rid of this configuration. If some users are
interested, we can re-introduce it properly with their help.

Minimize the board defconfig, remove custom busybox configuration,
custom kernel configuration (use the kernel defconfig instead), custom
device table and target skeleton. The only difference in the target
skeleton was the support of mdev and the usage of an automount
script. Instead of adding this in a board-specific way, we should
provide board-independent configuration options. There are already
patches contributed to add support for mdev.

Minimize atngw100_defconfig, remove atngw100-base_defconfig, and
remove the target skeleton and device table. Instead of having
complete copies of new target skeletons (making them hard to
maintain), we should just have a post-build script that
adds/removes/tweaks the existing target skeleton.
Moreover, most of the tweaks in this target skeleton were for specific
packages, but the policy now is that board defconfig should just build
a basic root filesystem with Busybox, and let the user select
whichever set of packages (s)he wants.

Those are not associated with any specific hardware system (PC or
another i386 system). Moreover, the fact that those configurations
require the build of a JFFS2 filesystem, very uncommon on PC systems,
seems to indicate that those configurations are not really being used
today.
It would make more sense to have a qemu_i388_defconfig (building a
kernel with just the device drivers for Qemu) and possibly a
pc_i386_defconfig (building a kernel with many device drivers, and a
bootloader such as Grub or Grub 2).
We also remove the corresponding kernel configuration files.

The configuration cache shared between packages, while being in
principle a nice idea to speed-up the configuration of packages by
avoiding repetitive identical checks, turned out to be unreliable due
to the subtle differences between similar but not identical checks in
different packages. After spending some time trying to fix those, we
concluded that supporting the shared configuration cache is definitely
too hard and too unreliable, and that we'd better get rid of it
altogether.
This patch therefore removes the shared configuration cache
infrastructure and usage.

This patch modifies current toolchain build sequence so that
NPTL enabled toolchain can be built. The new sequence works
well with linuxthreads as well.
It introduces a new pass for gcc cross compilation. The new
sequence is binutils->gcc-initial->linux-headers -> uclibc-configured
(some cheats to generate phony shared libc.so and libm.o)
-> gcc-intermediate(with shared lib support) -> uclibc -> gcc-final
I also added a new sample config arm_nptl_toolchain_defconfig which
builds the toolchain and busybox.
I have only tried it on arm. However it should work for other
architectures which support NPTL on uclibc e.g. mips, sh, x86, ppc, x86_64

Supporting multilib is much more than just passing --enable-multilib
to gcc. You have to actually build the C library several times (once
for each multilib variant you want to support in your toolchain), and
to pass MULTILIB_OPTIONS/MULTILIB_EXCEPTIONS values to gcc to let it
know the set of multilib variants you're interested in.
Since we'll probably never support multilib toolchains in Buildroot,
just get rid of this BR2_ENABLE_MULTILIB option.

This is a very advanced option, and it seems, according to
http://choices.cs.uiuc.edu/exceptions.pdf that SJLJ exceptions aren't
really interesting.
Users really interested by this can always use the
BR2_EXTRA_GCC_CONFIG_OPTIONS is they want.

The buildroot/busybox/uClibc VM is running low on disk space, and we've
been asked to move the source mirrors off-site.
A redirect has been setup between the old buildroot.net/downloads/sources/
and sources.buildroot.net, so old .configs continue to work, but we might
as well use the official one now.

atngw100_defconfig: update to fix build failure:
* The AVR32 toolchain fails to build with the new uClibc version
0.9.31.x. Use the older uClibc 0.9.30.x branch instead.
* Disable linux-fusion as it fails to build
(why was this selected anyway, when DirectFB was not selected?).
* U-Boot 2010.03 is broken for AVR32. The build fails with:
zlib.c:31:27: error: asm/unaligned.h: No such file or directory
Select the older U-Boot 2009.08 version that builds instead.
* Disable rsync as it fails to build.
Build tested with 'make distclean && make atngw100_defconfig && make'
on an Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64 host.

Invert the BR2_PACKAGE_BUSYBOX_HIDE_OTHERS option to use positive logic,
renaming it to _SHOW_OTHERS.
Positive logic is simpler to understand, and it makes all{,package}config
do the right thing.

It looks like that nobody is using the commercial license option
because the code is broken (BR2_QT_COMMERCIAL_PASSWORD typo) and
dist.trolltech.com became silent long ago and nobody complained about.
So remove the broken and unused stuff.

The Kconfig menu "Pixel depths" of Qt provides a list with all
selectable pixel depths and additionally the option "all".
When "all" is selected, the list with all available pixel depths
disappears.
Because this disappearing of available pixel depths makes no sense
under usability aspects, simply remove the option "all".
The user could enable all available pixel depths by selecting each
individual depth anyway. So no functionality is lost.
