Starting with the 2.4.6 release, OpenCV supports either Qt4 or Qt5 as GUI
toolkit, so add Qt5 in the GUI toolkit choice.
When Qt4 is enabled (and thus Qt5 is hidden and disabled), no need to
show a comment stating "Qt5 support needs Qt5", because Qt5 is not
selectable.
Conversely, when Qt5 is enabled and Qt4 is not, then no need to show a
comment stating "Qt4 support needs Qt4", because enabling Qt4 would
disable Qt5.
So, we only show the comments when neither toolkit is enabled.

Currently, we only support either Qt4 or gtk2, but OpenCV also
additionally supports Qt5 or gtk3, making for a choice of four
toolkits, one of: Qt4, Qt5, gtk3, gtk2 (and obviously, none).
Since Buildroot does not support coexistence of Qt4 and Qt5, we
can no longer select one and depend on the other, like so:

In OpenCV, only one GUI toolkit may be used at any one time, so group
the two existing options into a choice to make this situation explicit.
This will also be useful when we later add support for Qt5 and gtk3.

Drop sed line which no longer changes anything as upstream has changed to
use strrchr. Worse, it bumps each ntpd/*.c file's modification time, which
sometimes triggers a strange dependency path causing the makefile to attempt
to run the ntpd keyword-gen app, which fails, because it's been
cross-compiled.

If sane is installed system-wide on the build machine, then the
sane-config binary found is the one of the system, which returns
incorrect library paths for cross-compilation.
To fix this, this commit adds a patch to wine to make it support a
SANE_CONFIG environment variable, and then adjusts wine.mk to
explicitly pass the path to $(STAGING_DIR)/usr/bin/sane-config.

OpenCV 3.0 support both gstreamer-0.10 and gstreamer-1.x, but only one
is used at the time.
This patch turns the gstreamer support into a choice, in order to prepare
adding the support for gstreamer-1 in a following patch.

In commit f21b2558a0 ("busybox: added
linux-pam support"), we added optional support for PAM in
Busybox. However, this support requires the toolchain to have thread
support, which causes build failures with non-thread capable
toolchains.
This commit therefore enables Busybox PAM support only if the
linux-pam package is available *and the toolchain has thread support.

In case FOO_OVERRIDE_SRCDIR has trailing spaces, like so:
FOO_OVERRIDE_SRCDIR = /path/to/sources\x20
we would end up with a rsync command like so:
rsync -au /path/to/sources / /path/to/build/foo
which would effectively rsync the whole vfs, eventually filling the
whole disk... :-(
So, just qstrip the variable before use.

In the *-install-target phase the manifest file is being updated, if multiply packages try to update it they fail.
To avoid multiple access to the manifest file use flock to sync
multiple luarocks packages.
e.g. installing three luarocks packages:

The boost and jack2 packages fail to build when PARALLEL_JOBS is empty
so instead of using an empty PARALLEL_JOBS don't use it in the MAKE
variable when top-level parallel make is being used.
To simplify the use of top-level parallel make, check the MAKEFLAGS
variable to know automatically if the -j option is being used, also use
the "=" operator instead of the ":=" operator because the MAKEFLAGS
variable can be checked only in a "recursively expanded variable".
The "override" keyword must be used in order to change the automatic
variable "MAKE".
When the top-parallel make is being used the sub-make are called without
specifying the "-j" option in order to let GNU make share the job slots
specified in the top make. This is done because GNU make is able
to share the job slots available between each instance of make so if you
want to increase the number of jobs you just need to increase the <jobs>
value in the top make -j<jobs> command.
If we specify the -j<jobs> option in each instance of make, it is less
efficient, e.g. in a processor with 8 cores we specify -j9 in each instance:
the number of processes goes up to 81 because each sub-make can execute
9 processes. The excessive number of processes is not a good thing
because in my tests even -j16 is slower than -j9.
Instead if we don't specify the -j<jobs> option in the sub-make, the top
make share the job slots automatically between each instance, so the
number of process in this examples goes up to 9 that is faster than
using up to 81 processes.
e.g. when the -j3 option is specified only in the top make:

Many packages use node-pre-gyp as a way of deploying precompiled binary
dependencies with fall back to compilation for other targets. Currently
installing node modules that use node-pre-gyp can fail to use the correct
binary for the target. This patch fixes this issue by correctly
configuring node-pre-gyp.
Firstly, node-gyp uses the option --arch to determine its target
architecture (which is already set correctly), however, node-pre-gyp uses
--target-arch. Without this set node.js packages that uses node-pre-gyp
will pick the wrong target architecture.
Secondly, the use of precompiled binary packages is not desirable due to
potential security and licensing issues. To solve this we use the
--build-from-source option to force node-pre-gyp to always build the C++
code.
This patch passes npm_config_target_arch and npm_config_build_from_source
to npm which causes --target-arch and --build-from-source to be passed to
node-pre-gyp.
I have tested this using the node.js package serialport which now
successfully builds and runs.

The version of the V8 JavaScript engine used by node.js v0.12.5 requires
at least an ARMv6 architecture with VFPv2. For this reason v0.10.39
remains the default for ARMv5 targets, all other targets now default to
v0.12.5.

Lots of fixes have been made to ltrace, including the ones for fixing a
build failure for MIPS architecture. Updating to current master will
allow us to re-enable this package for MIPS and also remove some
upstreamed patches.
At the same time we add a patch made by Jérôme Pouiller to fix a bug
introduced by 5ba9e10 ("Split type definitions from the bundled configs
into their own files"). Two new configuration files are not installed.
Therefore, ltrace fail with messages like :
/usr/share/ltrace/libm.so.conf:333: error: unknown type around 'ldouble
erfl(ldouble);
That patch has been sent upstream.

Binutils 2.24 produces broken code when compiling the kernel for
ppc64le, so prevent this combination. See:

The problem manifests early in the boot process with "Kernel access of
bad area, sig: 11" in arch_match_cpu_phys_id().
The fix has been merged upstream as commit

This combination causes a compilation failure of the host-gcc-final
recipe like this one:
/br/output/host/usr/mips-buildroot-linux-gnu/bin/ld:
.libs/gload.o: relocation R_MIPS_HI16 against `__gnu_local_gp' can not
be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
The problem is the file 'libatomic/gload.c' is compiled without -fPIC
when using binutils-2.25. All gcc (with libatomic) versions below 4.9.3
are affected by this issue.
Here is a summary of affected/unaffected versions in Buildroot:
4.7.x: unaffected (doesn't have libatomic)
4.8.x: affected
4.9.x: unaffected (we have 4.9.3 which is fixed)
5.1.x: unaffected

However, given the following reasons...
- Upstream gcc 4.8 branch is closed.
- The fix is very hard to backport from 4.9 to 4.8.
- This stuff is insanely sensitive and not working at all could be
better than looking like it works but not quite.

When working with GCC initial at override source dir mode the
HOST_GCC_INITIAL_POST_PATCH_HOOKS is not called and compilation failes.
The solution is to use HOST_GCC_INITIAL_POST_RSYNC_HOOKS since this hook
is being called at override source dir mode.

Up to date tor (at least starting from 0.2.6) requires compiler with C99
plus some extensions support.
If default GCC's C standard < c99 (that's the case at least for ARC)
you'll see this on attempt to build tor:

ModemManager get started by NetworkManager, in case of systemd init
system. In case of other systems it needs to be started by init script.
Debian [1] solved it by detection in code. For Buildroot it's IMHO
enough to install init script for systemV-like init systems.

vcdbg is a tool to help debug the communication with the GPU.
It comes as a binary-only, and in two flavours: one for the hard
floating point ABI, one for the software floating point ABI.
Unfortunately, we have no source code for that tool, only a binary that
was dynamically linked with glibc and libraries from rpi-userland.
So, just install that executable, and let's hope there is no symbol
issue at runtime.
Note: vcdbg needs glibc, threads and !static. Since glibc already
implies threads and !static, we only need to depend on glibc.

Even though ARC gcc understands "-pie" option and attempts to generate
PIE binaries as of today PIE is not really supported for user-space
applications.
So we disable PIE detection if building for ARC.
That first fixes http://autobuild.buildroot.net/results/988/9888a7a30538c9851f4910c16674d8dbb8edeb8f/
and also prevents execution of non-supported PIE binary in runtime.

In buildroot we maintain a couple off-the-tree patches.
In particular for binutils and gcc packages.
Because we have many versions of mentioned packages patches for each
particular version reside in a folder which name matches full version
name of the package.
For example we used to have patches for binutils distributed as part of
arc-2014.12 tools in folder ""package/binutils/arc-2014.12". Now with
bump of ARC tools version we need to rename folder with patches to
"arc-2015.06-rc1".
The same applies to gcc.

As discussed before it's not possible to reproduce reported problem on recent
Fedora 21/22 distros (at least we know about them) but I may confirm that

According to upstream [1], there is no known minimal kernel-version, nor
minimal required feature-set.
Experimentally tested, that 1.0.2 is works with 3.2 kernel headers, even
some features will be missing [2].

The commit 720893b625 "openssl: disable
apps for NOMMU" prevented the openssl binary from being built without
MMU in order to fix a build failure without fork(). However, openssl is
designed to support the lack of fork() with -DHAVE_FORK=0, so allow the
openssl binary to be enabled without MMU thanks to this option.

Following commit 36555b4c8d ("ARC:
switch to RC1 of upcoming arc-2015.06 tools"), the binutils package
only contains the hash information for the 2015.06-rc1 ARC version of
binutils (which is in fact no hash). However, when an external
toolchain is used, and binutils is built for the target, it's still
the old 2014.11 binutils version that gets used in binutils.mk,
causing a build failure because there is no hash available for this
version.
This commit fixes that by using 2015.06-rc1 as the default binutils
version on ARC, which is used when no host-binutils has been built.

Monkey is a small, fast and lightweight open source Web Server for
GNU/Linux. It has been designed with focus in embedded devices,
therefore its scalable by nature having a low memory and CPU
consumption and an excellent performance.
[Thomas:
- Add missing dependency on !BR2_STATIC_LIBS (the source code uses
dlopen) and BR2_USE_MMU (the source code uses fork)
- Slightly adjust/reword the description of the
BR2_PACKAGE_MONKEY_SHARED option.
- Remove all the complicated installation logic for the target, and
just use "make install" instead.
- Pass --no-backtrace when uClibc is used, otherwise the build fails
because <execinfo.h> is not available in uClibc.
- Pass $(TARGET_CONFIGURE_OPTS) in the environment of the configure
script., otherwise monkey gets built for the host and not for the
target.
- Add a post install target hook to remove a broken symlink
libmonkey.so installed by Monkey's Makefile when the shared
library is not enabled.
- Use TARGET_MAKE_ENV when calling make, just because we should.
- Pass --malloc-libc so that the libc malloc() is used instead of
the builtin jemalloc allocator, which requires more work to
cross-compile properly.
- Add missing empty line after the .mk header and before the first
variable definition.]

The bin path for nginx is configured for /usr/sbin, so deleting
the nginx.old back-up from /usr/bin never works. Fix path, and
also use "$(RM)" instead of "-$(RM)", as "rm -f" never fails.

Even though this is only RC1 it's been heavily used internally so it should
not be any worse than existing arc-2014.12.
Moreover this relase (and so its RC1) finally delivers support of NPTL
for ARC in uClibc.
That's why it would be good to allow interested users to start trying it
(for example WebKit and apps that use WebKit could be successfully built
and run) also it will be helpful to run that new toolchain through
autobuilder in attempt to find any hidden regressions so we have a solid
toolchain for release.
If there's an interest in that patch more patches will follow with
subsequent RCs and essentially on appearence or relese Buildroot will be
updated with it.

A very interesting use-case for a kconfig-based package is to create a
custom (def)config file based on one bundled with the package itself,
like described in PR-8156:
make menuconfig
-> enable kernel, use an in-tree defconfig, save and exit
make linux-menuconfig
-> enable/disable whatever option, save and exit
make menuconfig
-> change to use a custom defconfig file, set a path, save and exit
make linux-update-config
-> should save to the new custom defconfig file
However, that is currently not possible, because the dependency chain
when saving the configuration goes back up to the (newly-set!) custom
(def)config file, which does not exist.
So, we break the dependency chain so that saving the configuration does
not depend on that file. Instead, we use a terminal rule that checks
that the configuration has indeed been done, and fails if not.

After we exit the configurators, we need to re-run the kconfig fixups to
ensure the user is not able to override them in the configurators.
Currently, we schedule that "for later", by removing the corresponding
stamp file, so make will run the fixups "later".
This means the user has access to the un-fixed .config file, which he
might decide to copy and use as a reference (not too bad, since we'd run
the fixups anyway; but not clean either).
Note that we still remove the stamp file before running the fixups, in
case any one of those fixups breaks, so we don't want to believe the
fixups have been applied; the fixup macro will touch that file anyway.

Even though we do have a dependency chain back to each of the kconfig
base and fragment files:

we can't rely on it to ensure they are all present, because they all have
this rule:

but since this rule has no prerequisite (only build-order, but that does
not count in this case) and no recipe, make will believe each missing
file to be a PHONY target, and will always run targets that depend on
it:

So, that means a missing kconfig base or fragment file would always
cause the rule to generate .config to be run at each invocation, which
in turn would cause a rebuild of the kernel, which is clearly not what
we want.
Since this is expected make behaviour, we can well end up with a missing
Kconfig base or fragment. To avoid continuously rebuilding the kernel in
that case, we must check those files exist by ourselves, and error out
if any one of them is missing.
One would expect we check for them right in their dependency rule, like
so:

opencv_python module needs python-numpy because it uses some numpy
headers in this wrapper.
>From its 2.4 release, OpenCV offers python bindings, but they required
most of the OpenCV modules to be enabled.
Since OpenCV-3.0.0, python bindings have been reworked:
- it now supports both python2 and python3
- only built modules supporting wrapped in python will be included in
the bindings.

This change allows to reduce the size of the default OpenCV package, so
the final root filesystem.
However, this will break any existing defconfig enabling OpenCV. Indeed,
a minimal OpenCV package will be built, whereas, prior to applying this
patches, a full-featured one would have been built instead.

Since its integration into Buildroot, OpenCV always enables all modules
by default because the inter-module denpedency were not supported.
Now that OpenCV inter-module dependencies are correctly set at the
Buildroot configuration level, it is possible to reduce the enabled
module list to its minimal set, letting kconfig enable the other
modules.
This change will not change anything WRT a defconfig build with opencv.

OpenCV allows to enable/disable the selection of modules (a.k.a.
opencv libraries). These modules depend one on the others; these
dependencies are already handled by the build-system (CMake).
However, the way we handled them in Buildroot was not really clean.
For each opencv module, there is a kconfig option, but we forced the
corresponding CMake config option without checking for the modules'
dependencies.
This patch replicates the modules' dependency relations in the
Config.in, so that the selection of the user will actually be built.

The opencv plugin uses stuff from the now removed opencv's legacy module.
Note that the configure script already correctly check the opencv version
and disable the opencv plugin with opencv-3.x.
Also remove 'select ...' to prevent kconfig from complaining about
recursive dependencies.

This major version bump is in fact a bump from 2.4.10 to 2.4.11, then to
3.0.
OpenCV-2.4.11 improves a lot the Buildroot integration, including a
couple of patches that are no longer needed:
- x86 PIC code compilation fix in core module [1];
- return type fix in superes module [2];
- opencv.pc generation [3].
It also improves the gstreamer-0.10/1.x detection [4], that will be
needed in a follow-up patch.
OpenCV-3.0 still requires 2 patches (backported from upstream fixing
pthread support [5,6].
The OpenCV-3.0 does some major changes, for which a transition guide
has been published [7].
Among these changes coming with OpenCV-3.0, some new modules have been
introduced and others got removed; leading to a bunch of configure
option updates (to keep as much as possible an iso-functional-perimeter)
and the legacy menu has been updated too.
The worth noticing removals being:
- the opencv_legacy and opencv_nonfree modules no longer exist;
- the opencv_contrib module has moved out of the opencv base tree and
now has its own repository [8].
There is currently no plan to support it.
Some 3rd-party supports have been improved or added; their integrations
in Buildroot will be addressed in follow-up patches.

All of the configurations built fine. All the configurations boot fine
in Qemu, except x86/uClibc (either ng or 0.9.33.2), it segfaults when
running init:

We'll give some time for the uClibc developers to fix the problem
before taking other measures in Buildroot to exclude gcc 5.1 from a
x86/uClibc configuration.

Some egl implementations needs special compiler flags or defines (E.G.
mesa3d for wayland needs to pass -DMESA_EGL_NO_X11_HEADERS to not try to
include X11 headers). This is correctly included in the .pc file, but the
configure logic doesn't use pkg-config so help it along.
Likewise, some implementations may need to link against other libraries, so
also pass LIBS.

Commit 83e29f2656 "gst1-plugins-bad: bump
version" (from 1.2.4 to 1.4.1) removed the configuration option for the
eglglessink plugin as a consequence of its removal in 1.3.1. However,
that commit did not add support for glimagesink, the plugin element to
be used as a replacement, which broke support for the EGL/GLES video
sink feature in Buildroot.
This new commit adds support for the OpenGL library and the
corresponding gl plugin, including the glimagesink element among others.
The plugin needs the library, but the library can also be used
separately in order to link custom plugins or applications against it.
The library needs at least one OpenGL API, one OpenGL platform and one
compatible window system. The implementations of these requirements that
Buildroot can currently provide are:
- APIs: OpenGL, OpenGL ES 2.X,
- platforms: GLX, EGL,
- window systems: X11, Wayland, Dispmanx.
The wayland configure feature switch is shared between the corresponding
OpenGL library window system and the waylandsink plugin.
This has been tested with videotestsrc/omxmpeg4videodec/omxh264dec and
glimagesink on the Raspberry Pi, using OpenGL ES 2.X, EGL and Dispmanx.

Commit 23413b51b2 added --with-expat
configure option and expat dependency when BR2_PACKAGE_EXPAT is
configured. When cross-compiling, gdb configure fails because the host
system libexpat is referenced.
Configuring gdb with
--with-libexpat-prefix=$(STAGING_DIR)/usr
fixes the reference and allows gdb to build successfully.
Tested with arm-buildroot-linux-gnueabihf toolchain.

DirectFB provides two options for debug:
* --enable-debug-support (default is yes)
* --enable-debug (default is no)
The first one provides the functions to print debug information. These
functions can be called inside DirectFB, or by an external DirectFB
driver in another package.
The second one enables verbose mode in DirectFB, using these functions.
Buildroot currently provides an option for the second one only. The
first one - which is necessary for the second one - is always enabled,
because this is the default value.
The new option (BR2_PACKAGE_DIRECTFB_DEBUG_SUPPORT) makes it possible
to disable debugging support (--disable-debug-support) in order to
build the library with no debug feature at all.
When debugging support is disabled, the target installation path of
drivers (/usr/lib/directfb-<version>) is suffixed with -pure. The
public library (/usr/lib/libdirectfb.so) remains unchanged.
Some external DirectFB drivers will install into
/usr/lib/directfb-<version>-pure in release mode. For that reason, it
is important that DirectFB can be configured to use this directory.

The following commit explicitly configures optional dependencies based
off the respective package selections for a given configuration.
In addition, this commit also cleans up some obsolete/incorrect
arguments. With the introduction of (at least) Fluxbox 1.3.7, the
'--with-imlib2-prefix' argument no longer exists. The argument
'--with-xpm-prefix' has never existed; it was accidentally committed
mimicking the configuration used to provide imlib2.

Explicitly configure XPM support based on the library selection provided
(BR2_PACKAGE_XLIB_LIBXPM). It has been observed on different hosts that
XPM support may or may not be included based off the state of the host's
system. One can validate XPM support is included in Fluxbox by using the
command `fluxbox -info`.

The Open-vm-tools package is now distributed from GitHub and a new
subdirectory was introduced, which breaks the Buildroot process.
This patch adds the _SUBDIR variable in the Makefile and also updates
all distributed patches.

This option enables/disables installation of the eudev hardware database,
which provides various extra properties for known devices.
Enabling this option adds ~5MB to the rootfs size.
The option is enabled by default in order to preserve old behavior.

Since we now have uClibc-ng, and it is used as the default uClibc
version, there is no real need to keep the Xtensa version: this
version is just a specific Git revision of uClibc master branch, and
uClibc-ng is also based on uClibc master branch.
In addition, since in the choice of uClibc versions, uClibc-ng is
already *before* the Xtensa specific version, uClibc-ng has in fact
already been the default uClibc version for Xtensa since uClibc-ng
support was introduced.

The current version of bc being used (1.06) is from 2000 and contains a
serious bug causing it to segfault when the math library is used, so bump to
the latest alpha release, which is also 9 years old.
Also include two fixes for Debian (https://packages.debian.org/jessie/bc)
- A patch to fix array initialization by Phul Nelson
- A patch to get bc to notice I/O errors by Ian Jackson

Currently, we only check that the variable is defined, which is not
enough since we really want it to be non-empty.
We however can't check it points to an existing file, because the
package might well not be extracted yet, and we may use an internal
defconfig. If that file does not eventually exist, there will be a
failure down the road at build time when we try to copy it...

matchbox-panel can build a simple applet to monitor the WiFi. For that,
it tries to see if libiwl is available; if so, WiFi monitoring is
enabled, otherwise it is disabled; there is not option to explicitly
enable or disable it.
Currently, matchbox-panel depends on the wireless-tools package.
However, that's not enough, since the library will only be installed if
explicitly enabled in the menuconfig *and* this is not a static build.
Change the dependency to be on the library, not the package.

Using dnotify, matchbox-panel can automatically reload its menu.
dnotify requires a kernel >=2.4, which we can consider to be
virtually for granted.

It is possible to use ACPI to monitor the battery with the battery
mini-applet. If ACPI is not explicitly enabled, then APM is used if
available; if ACPI is not explcitly enabled and APM is not available,
then the battery applet is not built.
However, APM is not really current nowadays, and possibly missing for a
bunch of architecture...
What is a pity is that there is no way to explicitly enable or disable
the applet; it only relies on auto-detection... :-(
So, forcibly use ACPI on platforms that have it, that is x86 (32- and
64-bit) and AArch64.

matchbox selects xlib-libXcursor, but does not build-depend on it.
But xlib-libXcursor is only an optional dependency.

xlib-libXft is only needed when building a 'standalone' matchbox, which
means not using matchbox-lib.
But we *are* building matchbox-lib, and we do not support the standalone
mode (and probably won't, as even upstream says it is ugly, by lack of
theming).
Similarly, xlib-libXext is only used for its 'xsync' extension, for
which support is entirely commented-out in matchbox.
So, drop the dependency on xlib-libXft, and make it explicit we're not
building either standalone modes; drop xlib-libXext.

That's because it forgets to link with -lm.
However, adding "MATCHBOX_CONF_ENV = -lm" does not solve the issue, as
it still does not link with -lm at all.
Furthermore, the package does not autoreconf, since it is missing the
gconf m4 macros, and Buildroot does not have a package for gconf, hence
we can not even patch Makefile.am and autoreconf.
Patching Makefile.in (in addition to .am) could be a solution, but
support for compositing is explicitly marked as being experimental.
So, just forcibly disable it altogether.

Previously, matchbox-startup-monitor was forcibly enabled whenever
startup-notification was. Now that it has a prompt, it merely defaults
to 'y' in this case, leaving the user the possibility to disable it.
This is not very logical.
Instead, invert the logic, and select startup-notification from
matchbox-startup-monitor.

We currently do not have that many packages without a prompt, and when
we do, they are limited to system-related packages that can't be
selected or are forcibly selected under various system-specific
conditions.
This is clearly not the case for the matchbox sub-packages, so just give
them a prompt, even when they are forcibly selected by the main matchbox
package, and can't be selected without it.
That will at least tell the user those packages exist and are to be
built.

Use the package names instead of some fancy human-readable strings. ;-)
Note: the matchbox package is really named matchbox-window-manager by
upstream. However:
- it already is in a section of the menu title 'X window managers'
- users are probably only looking for 'matchbox'
- keeping just 'matchbox' keeps it in sync with the Kconfig variable,
and allows us to not handle a legacy entry (see a previous commit)
- matchbox-window-manager is a bit long. ;-)
So, in this case, the short 'matchbox' prompt is used instead of the
real upstream name.

Currently, the matchbox entry in the menu is a non-package entry, that
forcibly selects the matchbox-wm package, which is the real matchbox WM.
So, get rid of the current matchbox option, rename the existing
matchbox-wm to simply matchbox, so we have a real package from the
onset.
Since we're re-using the previous option for the WM package, there is no
need for an entry in the legacy menu.

Currently, the matchbox package is using weird, legacy constructs to
build its different parts.
Notably, it adds matchbox-lib to the list of packages to build, even
though it is not a real package since it does not have a Kconfig entry.
Fix that:
- add a Kconfig entry for matchbox-lib
- select it from the top-level matchbox package
Note that matchbox-common already depends on matchbox-lib.

Adding this flag when BR2_ENABLE_DEBUG is activated make several
packages to produce binaries that do not work as expected (e.g., dhcp,
lame, nano). Moreover, the help message of BR2_ENABLE_DEBUG does not
say it is adding this flag. It is supposed to build packages with
debugging symbols enabled. So, let it do that only.
* package/Makefile.in: Do not add --{enable,disable}-debug flags.
* package/pkg-autotools.mk: Remove ENABLE_DEBUG as it is not set
anymore.
