PowerNV is the platform using the OPAL [1] firmware on OpenPOWER
systems. OPAL first loads a kernel and an initramfs image based on
buildroot including a second boot loader petitboot [2]. The latter
does device discovery and kexecs a new Linux image from disk or
network.
QEMU implements PowerNV machines [3] for the POWER8, POWER9 and
Power10 processors which are used for dev and tests. POWER8 images
being compatible with POWER9 and Power10, simply add a single
qemu_ppc64le_powernv8 board for all.
The QEMU script boots directly from a nvme disk because it is simple
enough but a real system would boot from a ramfs first.

libglvnd is the GL Vendor-Neutral Dispatch library, used to dispatch
GL calls across multiple GL implementations at runtime.
Full GL support, as usual, requires (parts of) the X11 stack: libX11,
libXext, and xorgproto (for glproto). However, with just libX11, it is
possible to do EGL on X11. EGL and GLES have no dependencies.
Note: x11 and glx are 'features', so need to be 'enabled' or 'disabled'
(or 'auto', but we don't care in Buildroot), while egl and gles1/2 are
'booleans', so need to be 'true' or 'false'.
When an actual provider for GL, EGL, or GLES is enabled, so must the
corresponding flavour be enabled in libglvnd. Conversely, when there is
no actual provider, the corresponding support must be disabled in
libglvnd. So we make each flavour selectable with hidden options, which
actual providers will have to select.
The license for libglvnd itself is a custom license by NVidia. It is
pretty close to MIT, but it's different (although Debian does classify
it as MIT); SPDX has no identifier for that license either. As such, we
choose to just identify it as 'libglvnd license', and let users deal
that with their legal department. Additionally, libglvnd bundles some
code from other projects, so we list them explicitly as well.

libest is a C implementation of RFC 7030 (Enrollment over
Secure Transport).
It can be used to provision public key certificates from
a certificate authority (CA) or registration authority (RA)
to end-user devices and network infrastructure devices.
https://github.com/cisco/libest
Notes on patches included in this package:
- libest bundles a stubbed version of libsafec, and has no provision
to build against a system-installed full (non-stubbed) libsafec.
We add a patch to make that possible.
- Added a configuration option --{enable,disable}-examples to toggle
examples build by a separate patch.
- There's a configuration option `--enable-jni` which allows to build
a JNI library for binding libest to Java programs. And that library
would be using an outdated version of OpenSSL 1.0.
We fix that by adding support for OpenSSL 1.1 API for that library.
- Fixed a bug when specifying either `--enable-FEATURE` or `--disable-FEATURE`
has always been enabling the feature.

Agent is always enabled. Even though a server without agent is a valid
use case, the agent doesn't take much space compared to the server so
making it optional is not worth it.
Optional dependencies (openssl, libcurl, ...) are set globally, even
though they are supposedly only used for the server. However, this is
not so obvious from configure.ac so it's easy to accidentally miss one.
Setting them globally doesn't hurt.
The proxy, agent2 and webservice features are left disabled. agent2
requires go.

Add a defconfig for the Allwinner Nezha, a raspberrypi-style board built
around the RISC-V 64bit D1 SoC.
There is currently no upstream support, so use the git repos from Samuel
Holland as explained on the linux-sunxi wiki:
https://linux-sunxi.org/Allwinner_Nezha
The U-Boot DTB is also used by opensbi, but the two branches are
unfortunately not in sync at the moment, so add a patch to fix the
compatible for the PLIC so opensbi makes it available to S-Mode (Linux).
The use of the sun20i-d1-spl SPL bootloader / TOC1 file format also makes it
a bit more complicated to build the boot image. As this is expected to only
be a temporary issue, add a U-Boot patch to build the TOC1 image as part of
the build rather than adding explicit support in our U-Boot package to do
it.

This package is the userspace daemon, client tool, and library for the
team device implementation in the Linux kernel. Team is an alternative
to the traditional bonding driver and provides more "runners", or modes,
of operation for aggregates. None of these modes are enabled by default
and need a custom kernel config.

a fix prior to 1.31 that can cause high CPU load, and a fix to prevent
failing to stop the daemon due to too short timeout for kill command.

This patch adds support for watchdogd, a watchdog daemon with built-in
process supervisor[1] as well as support for monitoring memory & file
descriptor leaks, and CPU load average. When a monitored resource
reaches a high watermark, a warning message is logged and when critical
level is reached, the cause is saved and the system is rebooted. On
reboot the reset cause can be retrieved to help locate the culprit.
Support for SysV init script in this patch, and systemd unit file is
installed from the one bundled with the package. Both files supoort
additional command line options in /etc/default/watchdogd.
The Config.in is slightly big, but allows for disabling or adjusting
the poll interval for each resource monitor.

This commit adds a new package for a prebuilt bare-metal toolchain for
RISC-V 64-bit. Indeed, some bootloader/firmware for the BeagleV (and
potentially later for other platforms?) do not build with a
Linux-capable toolchain.
This uses a pre-built toolchain from SiFive, precompiled for x86-64,
so all packages using this toolchain must have the appropriate
BR2_HOSTARCH dependency.
This package is modeled after package/arm-gnu-a-toolchain/, which
package a pre-built ARM32 bare-metal toolchain.

Designed for high performance. Suitable for writing zero copy

Low-level: this is designed to be a building block for writing
a very customized decoder for a stable protobuf schema. If your
protobuf schema is changing frequently or lazy decoding is not
critical for your application then this approach offers
no value: just use the C++ API that can be generated with

Small (35k), and stand-alone, SSDP responder with built-in web server
(on port 1901) for serving description.xml when Windows scans for any
network devices on the LAN. Also includes ssdp-scan (31k), similar to
the mdns-scan tool, to probe for SSDP capable devices.
Although it does not use fork(), it still fails to build on noMMU: lots
of missing function declarations, and lots of multicast-related structs
definitions, causing warnings like:
ssdp-scan.c:57:12: warning: implicit declaration of function ‘strdup’; did you mean ‘strcmp’? [-Wimplicit-function-declaration]
ssdp-scan.c:57:10: warning: assignment to ‘char *’ from ‘int’ makes pointer from integer without a cast [-Wint-conversion]
and errors like:
ssdp.c:357:17: error: storage size of ‘imr’ isn’t known
struct ip_mreq imr;
^~~
Finding the root cause why those get not defined in MMU on uClibc is

its base name of the git repository - is "qoriq-components/rcw". Thus
rename it to a more specify package name.
Note that there are other rcw implementations for other platforms, and
each implementation only applies to that specific platform; it hus does
not make sense that there are more than one rcw enabled at the same
time; so we keep using /usr/share/rcw as the install location; this also

Add initial support for Orangepi Zero Plus board:
- U-Boot 2020.10
- Linux 5.7.19
- Default packages from buildroot
This patch is based on Orangepi Zero Plus2 board support, so genimage
configuration and description is copy pasted. One difference is that
newer Linux and U-Boot are selected. Another difference is Ethernet
support (Plus) instead of WiFi (Plus2).

This commit adds supports for building buildroot kernel + rootfs
for MT8173 Elm board, also known as Chromebook Elm
(https://www.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/series/acerchromebookr13).
Though Chrome-OS is officially supproted on this board, the
mainline kernel works as well (benchmarks + conformance), and so
the 5.9 kernel is used. As the 5.9 kernel isn't yet released, we
use the 5.9-rc5 for now, which will be up-revd to 5.9 once its
released.
Using the mainline kernel means that we have to apply certain patches
to get the HDMI screen working. These patches are lying in the
"drm-misc-next" list and will make it to the kernel after 5.9. At that
time, we will remove the patches and point Buildroot to use the latest
kernel (hopefully, 5.10).
This commit also adds an ITS file (for creating FIT images), an ARGS
file (for providing kernel args) and a "sign.sh" script to generate
signed kernel images. Though the "sign.sh" is very similar to the
coresponding file under board/chromebook/snow, it cannot be shared
between both boards, as the script requires access to the board
specific its / args file.
Additionally a readme & defconfig is added to help the user get started.

qprint is a small utility that handles encoding and decoding arbitrary
binary data in the Quoted-Printable format, which was introduced along
MIME.
As stated in the package description, although MUAs nowadays usually
take care of doing this encoding themselves, there are some use cases
where doing it manually is needed, and providing a command-line program
to do it is amenable to shell scripts.

Now that upstream supports this board add buildroot support for it,
too.
This supports:
- latest upstream linux kernel. Since the support for this board and
its SoC is still in active development, we want to follow the
upstream kernel releases for now.
- building an image which can be installed to eMMC, SD card or USB
thumb drive.
- upstream u-boot patches are pending, therefore no support for
building a bootloader for now.

Babeltrace 2 is a trace manipulation toolkit.
The Babeltrace 2 project offers a library with a C API, Python 3
bindings, and a command-line tool which makes it very easy for mere
mortals to view, convert, transform, and analyze traces.
See <https://babeltrace.org/> for more details.
Babeltrace 2 is a major update of Babeltrace 1 (Buildroot package
`lttng-babeltrace`). Both projects are coinstallable. Except for the
command-line tool (named `babeltrace2`), the Babeltrace 2 project is not
backward compatible with Babeltrace 1.
I'm naming this package `babeltrace2` instead of `lttng-babeltrace2`
because, although it can read LTTng traces, the two projects are
independent. All major distributions use `babeltrace2` as the
Babeltrace 2 package's name.
I'm keeping the `lttng-babeltrace` package because, as of this date, we
still add bug and security fixes from time to time, therefore the
project is not in EOL stage. Some external, custom packages could still
depend on the Babeltrace 1 library, for example.
As with `lttng-babeltrace`, you can build and install the host version
of Babeltrace 2 for the workflow where you trace the target, download
the resulting trace (or receive it during the tracing process), and then
read and analyze it with Babeltrace 2.
If you enable the `elfutils` package (`BR2_PACKAGE_ELFUTILS`), then
support for Babeltrace 2's debugging information filter component
class is enabled.
Tested with glibc, uClibc-ng, and musl.

Ordinary local file IO is blocking, and cannot easily and
portably made asynchronous.
This means doing file IO may interfere with asyncio applications,
which shouldn’t block the executing thread. aiofiles helps
with this y introducing asynchronous versions of files
that support delegating operations to a separate thread pool.

This version is based on the OpenBSD Mg, but with more features, one of
which being the no-ncurses/termcap support, which heavily reduces the
