The Linux environment for all boards using the Canaan Kendryte K210 SoC
can be built with the same process, using configurations that differ
only by the device tree used for the build. This patch add the
shared configurations, rootfs overlay and scripts used for all
K210-based boards.
Since the K210 SoC only has 8 MB of SRAM, a special busybox
configuration and rootfs overlay are added to save memory at runtime:
* For configurations using direct kernel boot (no boot loader), the
default busybox configuration busybox-minimal.config is modified
using the fragment file board/canaan/k210-soc/busybox-tiny.config.
This reduces the size of the busybox executable to save memory when
executing shell commands.
* Busybox init system is not used and a special init scripts is provided
using the rootfs_overlay root file system overlay. This init script
simply mounts devtmpfs, /proc and /sys, and exec an interactive shell
after printing a logo. This avoids (1) boot failures due to large
memory allocations by the regular busybox init system (these
allocations fail on the K210 for lack of enough memory) and avoids
(2) keeping the init process sleeping in the background (wasted
memory).
The board/canaan/k210-soc/busybox-tiny.config and the rootfs overlay
files in board/canaan/k210-soc/rootfs_overlay are used for all Canaan
K210 SoC based boards.
For board configurations booting using the U-Boot boot loader, a common
set of linux kernel configuration parameters is provided by the file
board/canaan/k210-soc/linux-sdcard.config. In addition, the post build
script board/canaan/k210-soc/post-build.sh file and U-Boot image
generation configuration file board/canaan/k210-soc/genimage.cfg are
provided. The post-build script creates a generic "k210.dtb" symlink to
the compiled device tree file for the target board. This symlink is used
by the genimage.cfg configuration, making this file common for all
boards.

zerofree is a utility which scans the free blocks in an ext2 filesystem
and fills any non-zero blocks with zeroes.

The ext2fs/ext2fs.h header guards the inclusion of <sys/types.h> behind
HAVE_SYS_TYPES_H, which is an autotools-defined macro that is only
supposed to be defined by the package itself, i.e. e2fsprogs, and that
should not leak into installed headers. However, e2fsprogs does leak it,
so we work it around, liek gentoo does.

Add a simple test to verify that msr-tools are working.
The test needs to build a custom x86_64 kernel with support for CPUID and
MSR.
As the TSC_AUX MSR is emulated on qemu we can use it to test that a value
written with wrmsr can indeed be read back with rdmsr.

The kernel is from upstream and U-Boot is from the OpenBMC branch
because mainline doesn't have the required support for HW, yet.
The main resulting file from the build is a flash image. The partition
layout matches the OpenBMC one for 64M chips. It makes it easier to
update the different partitions from Linux. Intermediate files can be
used to boot from U-boot over the network or to boot QEMU using
-kernel/-initrd/-dtb.

This patch adds a test case that
1) Builds the complete LLVM and CLANG set of host tools
2) Cross-compiles the compiler-rt runtime using CLANG
3) Builds a cross-compiled application using CLANG and the libfuzzer
compiler-rt library.
4) Executes the fuzz application (part of the libfuzzer package) on
target and checks expected output for a heap-buffer-overflow.
Note: The libfuzzer package is just a tutorial example of how to use
the toolkit provided by llvm (Thus not adding it as a full
Buildroot package).

This patch adds support for the compiler-rt (CLANG runtime) library.
It builds a set of static libraries and installs them into the
CLANG/LLVM toolchain resource folder. These libraries can then be
used by developers in the SDK for building target applications for
analysis.

tools. It is an evolution of MFGTools (aka MFGTools v3). For this and

arm-gnu-a-toolchain is now deprecated to be replaced by arm-gnu-toolchain.
The old link [1] now points to a shared page between Cortex-A and
Cortex-R/M [2].
Rename the package, taking into account legacy info, while bumping it.

The nds32 architecture, also known as AndeStar V3, is a custom
32-bit RISC target designed by Andes Technologies. Support was added
to the kernel in 2016 as the replacement RISC-V based V5 processors
were already announced, and maintained by (current or former) Andes
employees.
As explained by Alan Kao, new customers are now all using RISC-V,
and all known nds32 users are already on longterm stable kernels
provided by Andes, with no development work going into mainline
support any more.
There has also been little to no maintenance done in Buildroot for
this architecture in recent times, so let's follow the Linux kernel
community decision and drop support for this CPU architecture.

Add RISC-V 64-bit nommu defconfig for QEMU virt machine with MMU
disabled.
Unlike qemu_riscv64_virt, qemu_riscv64_nommu_virt does not use OpenSBI,
since the kernel is running in machine mode (M-mode).
After the build is complete, you can start QEMU using the launcher
script:
$ output/images/start-qemu.sh

GNU Octave is a high-level language, primarily intended for numerical
computations. It provides a convenient command line interface for
solving linear and nonlinear problems numerically, and for performing
other numerical experiments using a language that is mostly compatible
with Matlab. It may also be used as a batch-oriented language. Octave
has extensive tools for solving common numerical linear algebra

This is a dependency of newer sysdig. It contains the driver, and also a
few userspace components. The latter however are not meant to be
installed in the sysroot; instead, the whole thing is meant to be
included directly in the build of the project using it. Changing things
so it does work in the normal way of installing to the sysroot turns out
to be pretty complicated.
Basically, falcosecurity-libs is just a component of sysdig. It's
defined as a separate package only because that's an easier way to
download it than defining extra download and extract commands in sysdig
itself. For this reason, it's defined as a blind option in Config.in.

WILC1000/3000 driver pulled from at91-linux tree set-up to be built
as an external module. Upstream Linux kernel does not support
WILC3000 features at this time. This package is intended to bridge
that gap until WILC1000/3000 is fully supported in kernel.

0.23.1 has compilation errors with recent kernels.
0.27.1 changed license for userspace from GPLv2 to Apache and added MIT
option for driver.
New dependencies: c-ares, grpc, protobuf, tbb. There's also a dependency
on gtest, but only if tests are enabled. Therefore, add conf opt to
disable tests.

Deprecated Xlib integration for GdkPixbuf.
gdk-pixbuf-xlib has been deprecated and split off of gdk-pixbuf since
version 2.42.0 and
3362e94c25
resulting in the following "hidden" warnings with xscreensaver since
commit a7b51ed301:

library (gdk-pixbuf-xlib-2.0) was not, so GTK can't be used.
Perhaps some of the development packages are not installed?

The PNG library is being used instead.

Move the target bpftool build out of linux-tools so that it is
up to date.
This also fixes build issues due to differences between kernel
versions. The latest version should be fully backwards compatible.
The host bpftool is needed for enabling features such as the systemd
bpf-framework (to be added in a future patch).
Use the git download method to get the libbpf submodule.

pahole is a tool used to show data structure embedded in debugging
information formats like DWARF.
It is notably needed by the Linux kernel to generate BPF Type
Format (BTF) information used by Compile Once - Run Everywhere (CO-RE)
BPF tools.
To be built, pahole needs __LIB to be set to lib at stated in its
README.

A wrapper for the Gnu Privacy Guard (GPG or GnuPG).
The gnupg module allows Python programs to make use of the functionality
provided by the GNU Privacy Guard (abbreviated GPG or GnuPG). Using this
module, Python programs can encrypt and decrypt data, digitally sign
documents and verify digital signatures, manage (generate, list and
delete) encryption keys, using Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
encryption technology based on OpenPGP.

Networkd-dispatcher is a dispatcher daemon for systemd-networkd
connection status changes. This daemon is similar to
NetworkManager-dispatcher, but is much more limited in the types of
events it supports due to the limited nature of systemd-networkd.
To simplify the large number of transitive dependencies, remove the ones
that are implied by glibc.
To simplify the comment, simply don't show it if python is selected.
Python 2 is going to be removed soon anyway.

This new test ensures that libraries and binaries generated
using Parrot Alchemy build system are correct.
Indeed, the test uses libshdata-stress.
This binary depends on libshdata.
libshdata depends on libfutils and libfutils depends on ulog.
All of these binaries and libraries are built using Alchemy.

PowerNV is the platform using the OPAL [1] firmware on OpenPOWER
systems. OPAL first loads a kernel and an initramfs image based on
buildroot including a second boot loader petitboot [2]. The latter
does device discovery and kexecs a new Linux image from disk or
network.
QEMU implements PowerNV machines [3] for the POWER8, POWER9 and
Power10 processors which are used for dev and tests. POWER8 images
being compatible with POWER9 and Power10, simply add a single
qemu_ppc64le_powernv8 board for all.
The QEMU script boots directly from a nvme disk because it is simple
enough but a real system would boot from a ramfs first.

python-distro provides information about the OS distribution it runs on,
such as a reliable machine-readable ID, or version information.
It is the recommended replacement for Python's original
platform.linux_distribution function (removed in Python 3.8). It also
provides much more functionality which isn't necessarily Python bound,
like a command-line interface.

libglvnd is the GL Vendor-Neutral Dispatch library, used to dispatch
GL calls across multiple GL implementations at runtime.
Full GL support, as usual, requires (parts of) the X11 stack: libX11,
libXext, and xorgproto (for glproto). However, with just libX11, it is
possible to do EGL on X11. EGL and GLES have no dependencies.
Note: x11 and glx are 'features', so need to be 'enabled' or 'disabled'
(or 'auto', but we don't care in Buildroot), while egl and gles1/2 are
'booleans', so need to be 'true' or 'false'.
When an actual provider for GL, EGL, or GLES is enabled, so must the
corresponding flavour be enabled in libglvnd. Conversely, when there is
no actual provider, the corresponding support must be disabled in
libglvnd. So we make each flavour selectable with hidden options, which
actual providers will have to select.
The license for libglvnd itself is a custom license by NVidia. It is
pretty close to MIT, but it's different (although Debian does classify
it as MIT); SPDX has no identifier for that license either. As such, we
choose to just identify it as 'libglvnd license', and let users deal
that with their legal department. Additionally, libglvnd bundles some
code from other projects, so we list them explicitly as well.

There is already a package adding Mali blobs for Sunxi Mali Utgard
GPUs. Many Rockchip SoCs feature a Mali Bifrost GPU and need specific
libraries provided under binary form with a non-GPL compliant license
by Rockchip. Package these libraries.
While the repository at https://github.com/rockchip-linux/libmali
supports many GPU variants, this package for now only supports the
Bifrost GPU blob. Support for other GPU blobs can be added later.

libest is a C implementation of RFC 7030 (Enrollment over
Secure Transport).

Notes on patches included in this package:
- libest bundles a stubbed version of libsafec, and has no provision
to build against a system-installed full (non-stubbed) libsafec.
We add a patch to make that possible.
- Added a configuration option --{enable,disable}-examples to toggle
examples build by a separate patch.
- There's a configuration option `--enable-jni` which allows to build
a JNI library for binding libest to Java programs. And that library
would be using an outdated version of OpenSSL 1.0.
We fix that by adding support for OpenSSL 1.1 API for that library.
- Fixed a bug when specifying either `--enable-FEATURE` or `--disable-FEATURE`
has always been enabling the feature.

Agent is always enabled. Even though a server without agent is a valid
use case, the agent doesn't take much space compared to the server so
making it optional is not worth it.
Optional dependencies (openssl, libcurl, ...) are set globally, even
though they are supposedly only used for the server. However, this is
not so obvious from configure.ac so it's easy to accidentally miss one.
Setting them globally doesn't hurt.
The proxy, agent2 and webservice features are left disabled. agent2
requires go.
zabbix also has support for sqlite3 as database backend, but only for
the proxy, not for the server.

The way that python-pybind can be used is fairly complicated, so a
runtime test for it is convenient. In addition, this test validates that
the headers actually work at runtime.

This is the io_uring library, liburing. liburing provides helpers to
setup and teardown io_uring instances, and also a simplified interface
for applications that don't need (or want) to deal with the full kernel
side implementation.

two packages providing this driver. The "non-upstream" package has
been removed some time ago so before adding new packages bringing
support for other ARM Mali GPU versions or implementations, rename
sunxi-mali-mainline-driver into sunxi-mali-utgard-driver.
Add a legacy entry.

FreeIPMI provides in-band and out-of-band IPMI software based on the
IPMI v1.5/2.0 specification.
The IPMI specification defines a set of interfaces for platform
management and is implemented by a number vendors for system management.
The features of IPMI that most users will be interested in are sensor
monitoring, system event monitoring, power control, and serial-over-LAN
(SOL).

The modsecurity2 package provides an Apache module implementing
a web application firewall (WAF) module.

modsecurity2 will be superseeded sooner or later by modsecurity v3
ie. libmodsecurity [1] and its Apache connector [2]. libmodsecurity
is already supported in Buildroot with its Nginx connector.
According to the Apache connector web page and the discussion [3],
the Apache connector is not ready for production use.

The Raspberry-Pi Zero 2 W is an affordable single board computer. It is
a more powerful drop-in replacement for the Raspberry Pi Zero W.
The board incorporates an Raspberry-Pi RP3A0 system-in-package (SiP) with
a Broadcom BCM2710A1 and 512MB LPDDR2 SDRAM. The CPU is a quad-core 1Ghz
64-bit Arm Cortex-A53. As for other Raspberry-Pis it also provides
2.4GHz 802.11 b/g/n Wifi, Bluetooth 4.2 and BLE.
The BCM2710 cpu is similar to the Raspberry-Pi 3, it uses the same
kernel configuration as the Raspberry-Pi 2 and 3.

Add a defconfig for the Allwinner Nezha, a raspberrypi-style board built
around the RISC-V 64bit D1 SoC.
There is currently no upstream support, so use the git repos from Samuel
Holland as explained on the linux-sunxi wiki:

The U-Boot DTB is also used by opensbi, but the two branches are
unfortunately not in sync at the moment, so add a patch to fix the
compatible for the PLIC so opensbi makes it available to S-Mode (Linux).
The use of the sun20i-d1-spl SPL bootloader / TOC1 file format also makes it
a bit more complicated to build the boot image. As this is expected to only
be a temporary issue, add a U-Boot patch to build the TOC1 image as part of
the build rather than adding explicit support in our U-Boot package to do
it.

U-Boot does not yet have SPL code to initialize the DDR controller on the
Allwinner D1 - So instead package the sun20i-d1-spl bootloader, which is
based on boot0 from the Allwinner BSP with some modifications to build it
separately from the BSP and boot mainline U-Boot as explained on the
linux-sunxi wiki:

This package is the userspace daemon, client tool, and library for the
team device implementation in the Linux kernel. Team is an alternative
to the traditional bonding driver and provides more "runners", or modes,
of operation for aggregates. None of these modes are enabled by default
and need a custom kernel config.
Backported the three most relevant patches to fix musl build, revert of
a fix prior to 1.31 that can cause high CPU load, and a fix to prevent
failing to stop the daemon due to too short timeout for kill command.

This patch adds support for watchdogd, a watchdog daemon with built-in
process supervisor[1] as well as support for monitoring memory & file
descriptor leaks, and CPU load average. When a monitored resource
reaches a high watermark, a warning message is logged and when critical
level is reached, the cause is saved and the system is rebooted. On
reboot the reset cause can be retrieved to help locate the culprit.
Support for SysV init script in this patch, and systemd unit file is
installed from the one bundled with the package. Both files supoort
additional command line options in /etc/default/watchdogd.
The Config.in is slightly big, but allows for disabling or adjusting
the poll interval for each resource monitor.

This package provides a set of tools originally developed for the
OpenWrt project. They allow working with various firmware formats that
are required for flashing new images on embedded devices.
One of tools (mkhilinkfw) depends on OpenSSL and doesn't support any
other SSL library (like wolfSSL) directly. It can be used with wolfSSL
using its compatibility layer though.

This commit adds a test for python-flask package. As we are about to
add python-flask-expects-json together with a test, it made sense to
also add a test for python-flask itself.
As far as the DEVELOPERS file is concerned, the test files are added
both to the existing maintainer of package/python-flask, as well as to
myself.

This patch adds runtime testing of the OCI archive created by the
sloci scripting. It launches a containerd instance, imports, and
runs the OCI container.
The existing QEMU AARCH64 kernel config was extended to enable common
options used by a container runtime (cgroup and overlayfs).

The Qt OPC UA module implements a Qt API to interact with OPC UA on
top of a 3rd party OPC UA stack.
The default is open62541, which is bundled by qt5opcua in version 1.0,
so we dont need to provide/depend on br's own open62541 package.
Another dependency is mbedtls, but it's optional.

This package has had build failures for a very long time, and these
issues have not been fixed, and it is now the number 1 build failure
reason in our autobuilders. It is time to acknowledge that the package
needs to be removed.

opencv4 is not fully backward compatible with opencv3 as "a lot of C API
from OpenCV 1.x has been removed.": https://opencv.org/opencv-4-0.
Moreover, it should be noted that layout of include files as well as
pkg-config filename changed since

All these changes mean that most of buildroot packages (e.g. vlc,
ffmpeg) are not compatible with opencv4.
Here is the most important changes between opencv3 and opencv 4.5.1:
- License is Apache-2.0 (https://opencv.org/opencv-4-5-0)
- openjpeg is an optional dependency (enabled by default) since
0384eb7d8c
jpeg2000 can be enabled through openjpeg or jasper
- pkg-config must be enabled with OPENCV_GENERATE_PKGCONFIG since

clapack has been unmaintained for a couple of years. It is
semi-automatically generated from lapack sources using the f2c
fortran-to-C converter, which itself is pretty much unmaintained.
Remove the package. Remove the dependency on !CLAPACK from lapack.
Automatically select lapack from legacy if possible.

During testing of bluez-alsa in particular, there is no compilation
dependency - but, some configurations will request the load of a
particular plugin:

Add rtl8812au-aircrack-ng (alternative to rtl8821au), recommended
e.g. for Alfa cards ([1]) and as opposed to rtl8821au does not crash
in case of configured for IBSS mode and supports iw set freq command in
monitor mode.

We backport an upstream patch that fixes the loading of the native
library by the FFI logic. Without this, "import augeas" doesn't work
as it goes into the ctypes.utils.find_library() logic that tries to
use a compiler on the target to find the augeas native library.
