(1) - Probably an endian issue with 8139 emulation/driver
(2) - xtensa ethernet broken in 4.5
(3) - It boots, you can login, but apps exit/crash often
(4) - There's a network interface, but enabling it in qemu fails

Run the emulation with:
qemu-system-sh4 -M r2d -kernel output/images/zImage -drive file=output/images/rootfs.ext2,if=ide,format=raw -append "root=/dev/sda console=ttySC1,115200 noiotrap" -serial null -serial stdio -net nic,model=rtl8139 -net user
The login prompt will appear in the terminal that started Qemu.
The graphical window is the framebuffer.
Tested with QEMU 2.5.0
