Joel Stanley 88a161b388 gcc: Fix building on ppc64le GCC 8 host
When building on a ppc64le host we see this error:

    build/genmatch --gimple ../../gcc/match.pd \
        > tmp-gimple-match.c
../../gcc/match.pd:120:1 error: expected (, got NAME
       negative value by 0 gives -0, not +0. */

This was reported upstream[1] and fixed on the GCC 6 [2] and GCC 7 [3]
branches:

    Backport from mainline
    2018-01-10 Kelvin Nilsen <kelvin@gcc.gnu.org>

    * lex.c (search_line_fast): Remove illegal coercion of an
unaligned pointer value to vector pointer type and replace with
use of __builtin_vec_vsx_ld () built-in function, which operates
    on unaligned pointer values.

The patches included in Buildroot contain just the code changes, and not
the changelog, to make it easer to manage backporting.

Tested on Ubuntu Cosmic ppc64le.

README

Buildroot is a simple, efficient and easy-to-use tool to generate embedded
Linux systems through cross-compilation.

The documentation can be found in docs/manual. You can generate a text
document with 'make manual-text' and read output/docs/manual/manual.text.
Online documentation can be found at http://buildroot.org/docs.html

To build and use the buildroot stuff, do the following:

1) run 'make menuconfig'
2) select the target architecture and the packages you wish to compile
3) run 'make'
4) wait while it compiles
5) find the kernel, bootloader, root filesystem, etc. in output/images

You do not need to be root to build or run buildroot. Have fun!

Buildroot comes with a basic configuration for a number of boards. Run
'make list-defconfigs' to view the list of provided configurations.

Please feed suggestions, bug reports, insults, and bribes back to the
buildroot mailing list: buildroot@buildroot.org
You can also find us on #buildroot on Freenode IRC.
