Qt 5.9 is a Long Term Support version [1]. Some license file changes are involved, a new dependency on pcre2, and some filename changes. qt5webkit popped back into the picture for 5.9.1 after being absent for 5.9.0 "officially." QT5_SNAPSHOTS_SITE is removed with this commit as it is not used for qtwebkit anymore. This removes the following patches that have been upstreamed for 5.9.1: - qt5base/5.8.0/0001-fix-parallel-builds-with-qt-freetype-system-libpng.patch [2] - qt5base/5.8.0/0002-fix-VNC-platform-plugin-build-on-big-endian-machines.patch [3] - qt5base/5.8.0/0003-QAtomic-pass-explicit-failure-mode-to-std-atomic-com.patch [4] - qt5base/5.8.0/0003-eglfs-fix-x11-header-related-compile-failure.patch [5] - qt5base/5.8.0/0004-examples-fix-compile-without-gui-module.patch [6] - qt5webkit/0003-Exclude-backtrace-API-for-non-glibc-libraries.patch [7] The qt5webkit patches no longer apply to both the LTS and latest version, so they are moved to per-version directories. Buildroot is a simple, efficient and easy-to-use tool to generate embedded Linux systems through cross-compilation. The documentation can be found in docs/manual. You can generate a text document with 'make manual-text' and read output/docs/manual/manual.text. Online documentation can be found at http://buildroot.org/docs.html To build and use the buildroot stuff, do the following: 1) run 'make menuconfig' 2) select the target architecture and the packages you wish to compile 3) run 'make' 4) wait while it compiles 5) find the kernel, bootloader, root filesystem, etc. in output/images You do not need to be root to build or run buildroot. Have fun! Buildroot comes with a basic configuration for a number of boards. Run 'make list-defconfigs' to view the list of provided configurations. Please feed suggestions, bug reports, insults, and bribes back to the buildroot mailing list: buildroot@buildroot.org You can also find us on #buildroot on Freenode IRC. If you would like to contribute patches, please read https://buildroot.org/manual.html#submitting-patches
