702bf6597d package/mkpasswd: expose the host variant in menuconfig
Some people may need it to generate passwords (not necessarily for
users) from post-build scripts.

2089d858bb mkpasswd: remove VERSION/SOURCE
Now that the package infrastructure doesn't attempt to download a package
that has an empty version string, there's no need to define the VERSION and
SOURCE variables in the mkpasswd package.

59bde2b4df mkpasswd: change version from 'undefined' to 'buildroot-$(BR2_VERSION)'
The sources of the mkpasswd package are shipped with Buildroot, rather than
downloaded from an external location. As a result, no explicit version is
defined, causing build messages and build directory to show 'undefined' as
version.

This patch sets the version for mkpasswd to 'buildroot-$(BR2_VERSION), which
would for example expand to 'buildroot-2014.05'.

59e0692095 host-mkpasswd: new package
Since the addition of root password setting support in buildroot, there have
been a few bug reports in this area ([1], [2]). In these cases, the system
mkpasswd did either not work, or did not provide the options we expect, like
-m <method>.

This patch adds a mkpasswd host package, based on the sources from whois. When
a non-empty root password is set, this package is used as a dependency.

[Thomas P: use $(INSTALL) instead of install, put -lcrypt at the end
of build command line to allow gcc to find the crypt() function in
lcrypt.]
