Since the trailing slash is stripped from $($(PKG)_SITE) by pkg-generic.mk:
$(call DOWNLOAD,$($(PKG)_SITE:/=)/$($(PKG)_SOURCE))
so it is redundant.
This patch removes it from $(PKG)_SITE variable for BR consistency.

The lsof Configure script builds a test program using the host toolchain to
test whether glibc is used. This test is broken in cross compilation
environment. Set LINUX_CLIB to avoid the test. This should give the correct
result even for non glibc toolchains, since all libc variants we support have
the netinet/tcp.h header.

In order to simplify determining the right extractor tool for a given
file type, this patch introduces a make function 'suitable-extractor'.
Its usage is $(call suitable-extractor,filename), and it returns the
path to the suitable extractor.

Since busybox 1.20+ includes a lsof applet make sure lsof gets built
after busybox so that we get the full-blown version if both are enabled.
Also hide the lsof package unless BUSYBOX_SHOW_OTHERS is true.

Default tar permissiong make it impossible to apply patches to some of
the files.
Change extraction command to skip permissions by using "-O" tar option
and a pipe tar chain.

Thanks to the pkgparentdir and pkgname functions, we can rewrite the
GENTARGETS macro in a way that avoids the need for each package to
repeat its name and the directory in which it is present.

lsof is packaged as a tarball inside a .tar.bz2 package, so we have a
post-extract hook to extract the source code tarball, so that for the
next steps, lsof looks like a normal package.

lsof compile breaks if CFLAGS overridden in 'make' command line
which is the case since buildroot-2010.08.
lsof has a partial fix for this already in the form of the
'LSOF_CFLAGS_OVERRIDE=1' configure option; however this only
fixes the problem in the generation of the Makefile for liblsof.
This patch does two things: it extends the 'LSOF_CFLAGS_OVERRIDE=1'
configure option to also cover the main Makefile; it also patches
lsof.mk to make use of the LSOF_CFLAGS_OVERRIDE option.
