It's time to finally switch over globally to the new spacing format
that we have agreed on for the hash file, with 2 spaces as a separator
between fields.

Build fails on:

Indeed, sys/sysctl.h is not available on musl so include this header
only if __APPLE__ is defined as sysctlbyname is only used in this case.
