006ba68a30 toolchain-external: support gcc < 4.3
We currently support gcc as old as 4.3. However, Buildroot works
perfectly well with even older gcc versions (tested with 4.1). So we
can add an option BR2_TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_GCC_OLD to support that. The
help text of this option is written with plenty of discouragement.

We use _OLD and not something like _PRE_4_3, because at some point we
will likely remove the 4.3 option and what would then require a name
change.

We don't set any _AT_LEAST option in this case because it's no use -
there is no lower bound on the version in this case. We therefore leave
BR2_TOOLCHAIN_GCC_AT_LEAST empty (the implicit default). When it is
empty, we don't do a version check at all in check_gcc_version
(previously we errored out when it was empty).

7b6cfca130 Revert "toolchain: allow side by side sysroot directories"
This reverts commit 9a1e9efe26.

Currently Codescape toolchains cannot be used to generate a big endian
root file system because the support for side by side sysroots is not
complete.

There is a patch [1] waiting in the queue which fixes the issue for the
current version of Codescape toolchains we have, but it will not work
for the next one that is coming. So, instead of messing more with the
toolchain infra I think it's better to handle these specific Codescape
toolchain's weirdness in hooks which won't affect others.

49648d4b01 toolchain/helper: don't follow symlinks when copying libs to target
In 2a87b64 (toolchain-external: align library locations in target and
staging dir), copying the libraries from the sysroot to the target was
changed to a simple find-based solution.

To be sure that the staging directory was entered to find the libraries,
in case the variable was pointing to a symlink, the -L clause to find
was used.

However, that causes extraneous libraries to be copied over.

For example, a ct-ng toolchain would have this sysroot (e.g for an arm
32-bit toolchain):

    .../sysroot/lib/
    .../sysroot/lib32 -> lib
    .../sysroot/lib64 -> lib
    .../sysroot/usr/lib/
    .../sysroot/usr/lib32 -> lib
    .../sysroot/usr/lib64 -> lib

Which we would carry as-is to our own sysroot.

But then, in target, our skeleton creates the /lib/ and /usr/lib
directories, with the necessary lib32 or lib64 symlink pointing to it.
In this case, a lib32->lib symlink is created, but no lib64 symlink
since this is a 32-bit architecture.

To copy the required libraries from staging into target, we scan the
staging directory for all occurences of the required libraries, and copy
them over to target, keeping the same directory layout relative to the
sysroot.

For example:
    .../sysroot/usr/lib/libfoo.so   -->  .../target/usr/lib/libfoo.so
    .../sysroot/usr/lib32/libbar.so -->  .../target/usr/lib32/libbar.so
    .../sysroot/usr/lib64/libbuz.so -->  .../target/usr/lib64/libbuz.so

So, when we copy over the libraries from our staging to the target
directory, the "find -L .../sysroot -name libblabla.so.*" would find
multiple instances of libblabla, each in the /usr/lib /usr/lib32 and
/usr/lib64 locations (they are all the exact same file, though).

Since we do have the /usr/lib32->lib symlink, all is OK (but there are
two copies going on, which could be avoided). However, since we do not
have the /usr/lib64->lib symlink, the /usr/lib64/ directory is created.

This was very difficult to observe, as no /lib64/ directory is created,
only the /usr/lib64/ one was. To top it off, this only happens with a
merged /usr, which does not seem like not a common case without systemd.

Since the reason to use -L was to be sure to enter our staging
directory, we just need to ensure that the path ends up with a slash, as
was already talked about in this thread:

After further discussion, it turns out that the original patch came along
because of the confusion between output/staging (which is a symlink) and
$(STAGING_DIR) which expands to output/host/usr/<tupple>/sysroot (which is
never a symlink), so the symlink handling isn't really needed at all.

794935068b toolchain: improve SSP logic
Don't enable SSP support on external toolchains just because they use
glibc or musl. Instead of that, make the external toolchains explictily
declare if they support SSP or not. And also add a check to detect SSP
support when using custom external toolchains.

For internal toolchains we always enable SSP support for glibc and musl.

6bb0355300 toolchain-external: move the sysroot check to helper function
The sysroot toolchain support check is duplicated at two locations in
the external toolchain infra. So move it inside the
check_unusable_toolchain helper that is called when the toolchain
package is configured (TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_CONFIGURE_CMDS).

The check in TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_INSTALL_SYSROOT_LIBS can be safely
removed since it's already done in check_unusable_toolchain helper.

The check in TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_INSTALL_TARGET_LIBS was removed by
2a87b64f8e.

c32c390e13 toolchain-external: add a check for unsupported toolchains
Some toolchain can't be used by Buildroot due to sysroot location
issue, so the $(ARCH)-linux-gnu-gcc -print-file-name=libc.a command
return only "libc.a"

This lead to an error during the header check version helper,
so these toolchains can't be imported into Buildroot.

cc1: fatal error: $PWD/libc.a/usr/include/linux/version.h: No such file or directory
compilation terminated.
support/scripts/check-kernel-headers.sh: line 38: /tmp/check-headers.4V5PPF: Permission denied

This issue happen with the first linaro 2015.11 [1] release and
CodeSourcery standard edition [2].

Here is the sysroot directory tree for linaro 2015.11:
$ ls libc/arm-linux-gnueabihf
etc  lib  sbin  usr  var

Here is the sysroot directory tree for CodeSourcery standard:
$ ls libc/sgxx-glibc
etc  lib  lib64  sbin  usr  var

Add a check to error out with an explicit error message

The check don't use toolchain_find_libc_a function directly since
"realpath -f" is used internally and return an absolute path.

2a87b64f8e toolchain-external: align library locations in target and staging dir
The toolchain-external logic is roughly:
- populate the staging dir by rsyncing the entire ${ARCH_LIB_DIR} and
  usr/${ARCH_LIB_DIR} from sysroot.
- populate the target dir by explictly copying some libraries from sysroot
  into target/lib and some other libraries in target/usr/lib, the split
  being hardcoded into buildroot regardless of the location in the sysroot.

This means that a library libfoo could be located in:
  staging/lib/libfoo.so
  target/usr/lib/libfoo.so

When debugging an application that links against this library, gdb will
fruitlessly search for 'usr/lib/libfoo.so' in staging, and then suggest to
use 'set solib-search-path' which is a hack, really.

To solve the problem, we need to make sure that libraries from the toolchain
are installed in the same relative location in staging and target.
Achieve this by:
- replacing the convoluted search for libraries using for+find in sysroot
  with a simple find in staging.
- determining DESTDIR for each library individually based on the location in
  staging.
- treating LIB_EXTERNAL_LIBS and USR_LIB_EXTERNAL_LIBS equivalently

These changes also allow for the removal of most arguments to
copy_toolchain_lib_root in the method itself and their callers.

Test procedure:
- set configuration for a given toolchain
- make clean toolchain
- find output/target | sort > /tmp/out-before
- apply patch
- make clean toolchain
- find output/target | sort > /tmp/out-after
- diff -u /tmp/out-before /tmp/out-after

The only changes should be some libraries moving from lib to usr/lib or vice
versa. Notable examples being libstdc++ and libatomic.

335f331ff2 toolchain: copy_toolchain_lib_root: rename LIBSPATH to LIBPATHS
LIBSPATH is populated based on a find with a pattern that can look like:
    libfoo*.so
and thus the output of the find will contain all file paths that match this
pattern.

Unfortunately, the name LIBSPATH suggests that only one entry is returned,
rather than possibly multiple.

As this code is quite complex, use the more accurate name LIBPATHS iso
LIBSPATH.

fe23cb5d00 toolchain-external: improve sysroot rsync if ARCH_LIB_DIR != lib/lib32/lib64
The copy_toolchain_sysroot helper in toolchain/helpers.mk performs an
rsync of various directories from the extracted external toolchain to the
corresponding directory in staging.

The relevant (simplified) snippet is:

	done ; \

The exclusion logic of lib/lib32/lib64 has originally been added by commit
5628776c4a with the purpose of only copying
the relevant usr/lib* directory from the toolchain to staging, instead of
all. For example, if ARCH_LIB_DIR is 'lib64', then only usr/lib64 would be
copied and usr/lib and usr/lib32 are ignored. It works by ignoring any
lib/lib32/lib64 subdirectory on the rsync of 'usr' and then separately
copying usr/{lib,lib32,lib64} as appropriate. (The exclusion rules only have
impact on the files beneath the main source directory.)

However, ARCH_LIB_DIR can take other values than (lib, lib32, lib64), for
example lib32-fp or lib64-fp (Octeon III toolchain with -march=octeon3). In
the existing code, the rsync for 'usr' would then already copy these lib
directories, and the next rsync for 'usr/$${ARCH_LIB_DIR}' does nothing.

By itself, this is not a very big problem: the staging directory simply has
some extra directories. However, a subsequent patch will create a staging
symlink from $${ARCH_LIB_DIR} to lib. The first rsync would then overwrite
that symlink with the real directory usr/$${ARCH_LIB_DIR} from the
toolchain, which is not correct.

Assuming the patch that creates the symlink ARCH_LIB_DIR->lib is applied,
the original situation after 'make clean toolchain' with an
ARCH_LIB_DIR=lib32-fp is:

Notice how usr/lib32-fp is not a symlink but a directory, and the presence
of an unnecessary directory usr/lib64-fp.

This patch improves the rsync exclusion rules by excluding any lib*
directory on the first rsync. As this would also exclude any
libexec/libexec32/... directory, explicitly include them first (first match
takes precedence). This (as is already the case today) results in more
usr/libexec* directories than needed, but it is not touched by this patch.

With the fix applied, the situation becomes:

However, on the rsync of 'usr', ANY of the following directories AND files
would be excluded:
    lib/
    lib
    lib32/
    foobar/something/lib/
    something-else/lib64/

while it is only the intention to skip directories directly under usr.

Therefore, add a leading (to restrict the scope to first-level) and trailing
(to restrict to directories) slash to the exclude pattern. From 'man rsync':

    - if the pattern starts with a / then it is anchored to [..] the root of
      the transfer.
    - if the pattern ends with a / then it will only match a directory, not
      a regular file, symlink, or device.

9a1e9efe26 toolchain: allow side by side sysroot directories
Currently our toolchain infrastructure assumes that every toolchain has
nested sysroot directories. However that's not true for all of them. The
Codescape toolchains from Imagination Technologies use a side by side
sysroot structure, for instance.

This patch allows our toolchain infrastructure to detect what kind of
sysroot structure we have (nested or side by side) and performs the
appropriate actions.

going on with nested sysroots and side-by-side sysroots.]

23fde76859 toolchain/external: ensure gcc version is known
Currently, when a preconfigured prebuilt toolchain forgets to specify
its gcc version, the error message is a bit misleading, like:

    Incorrect selection of gcc version: expected .x, got 4.9.2

Add a an explicit check for the gcc version being set, that reports a
better error message.

4a5f878946 toolchain/external: better check for gcc-5
gcc will always report a three-digit version sting, like 4.9.3 or 5.1.0.

For gcc before 5, we want to check the first two digits, while starting
with gcc 5, we are only concerned about the first digit.

So, change our matching code to test for the leading part of the version
string, up to the first dot after as-many version digit we're interested
in.

Note: we're adding the dot in the .mk code rather than in the Kconfig
symbol, because it seemed cleaner to do so.

bd760c3f51 toolchain-external: add support for gcc version dependency
This commit wires up the gcc version dependency mechanism in the
external toolchain backend. To do so, it:

 * Changes the definition of all pre-defined external toolchain
   profiles to select the appropriate BR2_TOOLCHAIN_GCC_AT_LEAST_*
   option.

 * For custom external toolchains, provides a visible Config.in
   "choice" to select the gcc version used in the external toolchain.

 * Adds a new check_gcc_version function, that verifies that the real
   gcc version found in the external toolchain matches the one
   declared in the Buildroot configuration.

[Thomas: use better sed expression proposed by Yann E. Morin, which
works with more cases.]

375bc18850 toolchain: allow for stupid toolchains
check_arm_abi builds a test C file to check that the toolchain is
working correctly, with the output redirected to /dev/null.

However, some toolchains (OSELAS 2014.12.0, for instance) foolishly
append ".gdb" to the output filename for an intermediate file, causing
an attempt to write to /dev/null.gdb, which obviously fails.

Fix this by adding changing the output to a temporary file, which is
later removed along with any other "suffixed" files.

Currently, we instruct users to enable/disable BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_NATIVE_RPC
but that is a blind option. The only option users can set/unset is
BR2_TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_INET_RPC.

Use that in the error message.

Notes: the only way for this message to appear is for a custom external
toolchain, either downloaded or pre-installed, so even though we check
the validity of the toolchain with BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_NATIVE_RPC, we do
report on BR2_TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_INET_RPC.

defb965893 toolchain/external: do not accept distro-class toolchains
Distro toolchains, i.ie. toolchains coing with distributions, will
almost invariably be unsuitable for use with Buildroot:
  - they are mostly non-relocatable;
  - their sysroot is tainted with a lot of extra libraries.

Especially, the toolchains coming with Ubuntu (really, all the Debian
familly of distros) are configured with --sysroot=/ which makes them
non-relocatable, and they already contain quite some libraries that
conflict (in any combination of version, API or ABI) with what Buildroot
wants to build (i.e. extra libraries, some not even present in
Buildroot...) but also their mere preence when Buildroot does not expect
them to be already built (so that a package would enable features when
it should not).

So, try to detect those toolchains and black-list them; inform the user
that the toolchain is unusable for the reasons mentioned above.

1c51a80a7f toolchain/helpers: add check for mandatory uClibc options
We currently only check that the Buildroot configuration matches what is
available in the toolchain.

Since we're going to remove the check for LFS and make it a mandatory
feature, we will lose the corresponding buildroot option, so we won't be
able to use check_uclibc_feature as-is.

Introduce a magic value passed as the buildroot option name to recognise
checks for mandatory uclibc options that do not have a corresponding
option in buildroot.

If the buildroot option name is empty then the check is against a
mandatory uclibc option.

If a mandatory uclibc option is missing we reject the toolchain as being
unusable by buildroot.

3787592063 toolchain-external: Fix EABIhf check
Currently the check for EABI/EABIhf toolchains looks for the
Tag_ABI_VFP_args attribute in the crt1.o file which gcc adds in an
EABIhf toolchain.
In uClibc, however, crt1.o is not compiled from c but assembly, so the
Tag_ABI_VFP_args attribute is not added in the object file. This causes
the EABIhf check in the external toolchain logic to fail for
uClibc-based toolchains.

Fix by compiling a dummy .c file and trying to link the object against the
C library. Since it is impossible to mix EABI and EABIhf code, a mismatch
between the buildroot and toolchain ABI settings will be detected during
this link step.

7130ceb267 toolchain: generate a gdbinit file
This commit slightly improves the external toolchain backend, and the
gdb build logic to create a file named
$(STAGING_DIR)/usr/share/buildroot/gdbinit which can be used as a
gdbinit file using gdb -x option. This allows gdb to automatically use
the proper sysroot to find libraries.

The initial insight for this patch comes from the report of Oded
Hanson <OHanson@xsightsys.com>, who found an issue with the Eclipse
Buildroot plugin, which was setting a solib-path in gdb, but not a
sysroot. Setting a solib-path was enough to find shared libraries, but
not the dynamic linker. And since Eclipse doesn't allow to set the
sysroot in any other way than giving a gdbinit file, it makes sense to
have Buildroot generate a gdbinit file (which can be used in other
situations than Eclipse).

To achieve this, this commit introduces a gen_gdbinit_file helper in
toolchain/helpers.mk, and uses it for the internal toolchain and
external toolchain backends.

2a82bb8a90 support/check-kernel-headers: fix old custom toolchains without -print-sysroot
Old toolchains, with old gcc that do not support -print-sysroot, break the
kernel-headers version check script: it fails to find the sysroot of the
toolchain, and thus ends up including the host's linux/version.h.

Most of the time, this will break early, since the host's kernel headers
will not match the toolchain settings.

But it can happen that the check is succesful, although the configuration
of the toolchain is wrong:

  - the custom toolchain has kernel headers vX.Y
  - the user selected vX.Z  (Z!=Y)
  - the host has headers vX.Y

In this case, the check passes OK, but the build of some packages later on
will break (which is exactly what those _AT_LEAST_XXX options were added to
avoid).

Fix that by passing the sysroot to the check script, instead of the cross
compiler.

We get the sysroot as thus:

  - for custom toolchains, we use the macro toolchain_find_sysroot. We can
    do that, because we already have a complete sysroot with libc.a at that
    time.

  - for internal toolchain using a custom kernel headers version, we just
    use $(STAGING_DIR). We can't use the macro as for custom toolchains
    above, because at the time we install the kernel headers, we do not yet
    have a complete sysroot with a libc.a.  But we can just use
    $(STAGING_DIR), since we're only interested in the kernel headers.

For all other types of toolchains, we already have the _AT_LEAST_XXX options
properly set, so we need not add a check in this case.

0aa9019c2d toolchain: print actual version of kernel headers when checking
Since we introduced the _AT_LEAST_XXX for the kernel headers, people
using pre-built custom toolchain now have to specify the version of
the kernel headers their custom toolchain uses.

So, when we detect that there is a mismatch between the selection in
the menuconfig, and the actual version of the headers, we currently
only bail out with a terse message "Incorrect selection of kernel
headers".

This could be confusing some, and getting the version of the headers
used by the toolchain is not trivial (well, it's very easy, but not
trivial.)

This patch changes the way we report the error by moving the message
into the test-code, and by printing the expected and actual versions
of the kernel headers.

BUT! To get this pretty error message, we need to run the
test-program, so we can not use the cross-toolchain, we have to use
the native one.

BUT! The native one has its own linux/version.h header, so we can not
simply include it.

So, we ask the cross-compiler where its default sysroot is, and use
that to then force-feed the cross linux/version.h to the native
toolchain.

a5a309642a toolchain/external: check kernel headers version for custom toolchain
Ensure the kernel headers version used in the custom external toolchain,
or the manually-specified kernel headers version, matches exactly the one
selected by the user.

We do not care about the patch-level, since headers are not supposed to
change between patchlevels. This applies only to kernels >= 3.0, but
those are actually the ones we do care about; we treat all 2.6.x kernels
as being a single version, since we do not support any 2.6 kernels for
packages with kernel-dependant features.

c64f948d2c toolchain: introduce a toolchain knob for NPTL
As our architecture support expands to a number of architectures that
do not implement NPTL threading, and the number of packages that
depend on NPTL specific features, it has become necessary to be able
to know whether the toolchain has NPTL support or not.

This commit adds a new BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_THREADS_NPTL hidden Config.in
option that allows packages to know whether NPTL is available or not.

This hidden option is:

 * Automatically enabled when glibc/eglibc or musl toolchains are
   used, either internal or external.

 * Automatically enabled when an internal uClibc toolchain with NPTL
   support is configured. It is left disabled otherwise for internal
   uClibc toolchains.

 * Configured according to a visible Config.in option for custom
   external uClibc toolchains.

1247850d44 toolchain-external: add a specific check to avoid Angstrom toolchains
The Angstrom toolchains available at
http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/toolchains/ are not usable as
external toolchains in Buildroot, because they are not pure toolchains
with just the C library, but instead complete SDKs with many
cross-compiled libraries (Gtk, Qt, glib, neon, sqlite, X.org, and many
more, approximately 200 MB of libraries).

Buildroot cannot use such toolchains, and while this is documented in
our manual, some users still try to do this. Today, one such user came
on the IRC channel, reporting a build problem, which we started
investigating, only to realize after a long time that he was using an
Angstrom toolchain.

To avoid this problem in the future, we explicitly check if the
toolchain is from Angstrom by looking at the vendor part of the tuple
exposed by the toolchain: as soon as it is
<something>-angstrom-<something-else>, we reject the toolchain with an
explanation.

ccc82214f6 toolchain-external: improve target library copy logic
The copy_toolchain_lib_root function is responsible for copying a
given library (and its symbolic link) to the target filesystem. To do
so, it looks for the library in various locations, and then iterates
over the symbolic link all the way to the library, copying them as
needed to the target filesystem.

However, the latest Linaro toolchains bring an interesting use case:
the lib/ directory in the toolchain is organized as follows:

 - ld-linux.so.3 -> arm-linux-gnueabi/ld-2.17...so
 - ld-linux-armhf.so.3 -> arm-linux-gnueabihf/ld-2.17...so
 - arm-linux-gnueabi/
   - all ARMv4T soft float libraries
 - arm-linux-gnueabihf/
   - all ARMv7 hard float libraries

In order to match what we do with all other toolchains, we want all
those libraries and symbolic links to be copied directly under
$(TARGET_DIR)/lib. This commit does that by adjusting the copy logic.

This is part of the fix for bug #6452 (eglibc from Linaro 2013.07 not
copied to target correctly).

This commit adds support for external toolchains based on the musl C
library, as available from http://www.musl-libc.org.

Note that the pre-built musl toolchains available from
http://musl.codu.org/ are not working for the moment, since they lack
sysroot support. However, this problem has been reported to the
maintainer, who has already added sysroot support in his scripts at
https://bitbucket.org/GregorR/musl-cross, and therefore the next
version of the pre-built toolchains should work with Buildroot
out-of-the-box. In the mean time, the musl-cross script must be used
to build the toolchain.

8e05ebca22 toolchain: do not check largefile, wchar, IPv6 and locale for glibc toolchains
The check_glibc function contained checks to verify that the user had
properly enabled the largefile, IPv6, locale and wchar options, to
match how glibc is configured. This was useful when the support for
glibc external toolchains was introduced, but since then, we added the
BR2_TOOLCHAIN_USES_GLIBC symbol that automatically enables largefile,
IPv6, locale and wchar support when a glibc or eglibc external
toolchain is used. Therefore, many of the check_glibc checks are
useless now, so we can remove these.

186a99b1c6 toolchain: modify the wildcard logic for shared libraries copying
Until now, the copy_toolchain_lib_root function took as argument the
base name of a library (e.g: libm.so), and was assuming that the usual
scheme libm.so.<x> being a symbolic link to the real library was used.

However, with musl based toolchains, the C library is named libc.so
directly, with no symbolic link at all. Therefore, this commit changes
the copy_toolchain_lib_root to move the responsibility of using a
wildcard or not after the library name the caller's responsibility.

So, all the existing LIB_EXTERNAL_LIBS values are modified to have a
.* at the end, so that the behavior is effectively unchanged.

c5866be0ad toolchain: refactor Stack Smashing Protection support
This commit refactors how Stack Smashing Protection support is handled
in Buildroot:

 *) It turns the BR2_TOOLCHAIN_BUILDROOT_USE_SSP option into an option
    that only enables the SSP support in uClibc, when using the internal
    toolchain backend.

 *) It adds an hidden BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_SSP option that gets enabled
    when the toolchain has SSP support. Here we have the usual dance:
    glibc/eglibc in internal/external backend always select this
    option, in the case of uClibc/internal, it gets selected when
    BR2_TOOLCHAIN_BUILDROOT_USE_SSP is enabled, in the case of
    uClibc/external, there is a new configuration option that the user
    must select (or not) depending on whether the toolchain has SSP
    support.

 *) It adds a new options BR2_ENABLE_SSP in the "Build options" menu,
    to enable the usage of SSP support, by adding
    -fstack-protector-all to the CFLAGS.

b2e88073db toolchain: check ARM EABI vs. EABIhf for external toolchains
Following the introduction of the support of EABIhf as a second ARM
ABI, it is important to check whether the external toolchain provided
by the user actually uses the ABI that has been selected in the
Buildroot configuration. This commit introduces such a check by
looking at the 'Tag_ABI_VFP_args' tag of the architecture-specific
section of the ELF headers. This assumes that ELF is the binary format
used on ARM, which may not be the case on ARM noMMU systems (they use
the FLAT binary format), but Buildroot doesn't have support for such
systems at the moment.

Also ensure the correct CFLAGS are passed to the cross compiler for the
test, so the correct variant is used in case the toolchain is multilib.

As noted by Yann E. Morin, the x$(...) = x"value" syntax is old and
ugly, and the easier to read "$(...)" = "value" can now be used
without problems.

9fbdf062b9 toolchain-external: improve glibc support to test availability of RPC
Basically, the BR2_TOOLCHAIN_EXTERNAL_GLIBC option no longer
unconditionally selects BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_NATIVE_RPC since there are
glibc toolchains that don't have RPC support. All the predefined
toolchain profiles are updated to take into account this change: for
the moment, all glibc toolchains that have pre-defined toolchains have
RPC support, but further patches in the series add pre-defined glibc
toolchains that don't have RPC support. In the case of custom glibc
toolchains, a question is asked to the user so that he can say whether
the external glibc toolchain has RPC support or not. The validity of
this configuration option is checked by the new
check_glibc_rpc_feature function in helpers.mk.

0858e000fe Rename BR2_INET_RPC to BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_NATIVE_RPC
The BR2_INET_RPC has for a long time been a not very descriptive
configuration option name, and with the advent of non-RPC glibc
toolchains and the apparition of libtirpc, we really need to rename it
to something more sensible, BR2_TOOLCHAIN_HAS_NATIVE_RPC.
