f5b14df110 modem-manager: support a defaults file in the init script
Sometimes it is useful to pass some parameters to ModemManager when it
starts (e.g. --log-level). Allow the user add a file with such flags in
a MODEMMANAGER_ARGS variable. This is simpler than overriding the whole
startup script (e.g. by means of a rootfs overlay).

ef0b7e7521 modem-manager: don't test if the binary exists in the init script
The test doesn't make sense. It just exits without any error if the
binary doesn't exist, which is silly.

Drop the MODEMMANAGER_BIN variable, which was never initialized.

0f75b2635e package: Replace 'echo -n' by 'printf'
'echo -n' is not a POSIX construct (no flag support), we shoud use
'printf', especially in init script.

This patch was generated by the following command line:
git grep -l 'echo -n' -- `git ls-files | grep -v 'patch'` | xargs sed -i 's/echo -n/printf/'

7f1def6936 package/modem-manager: init script for systemV-like init systems
ModemManager get started by NetworkManager, in case of systemd init
system. In case of other systems it needs to be started by init script.

Debian [1] solved it by detection in code. For Buildroot it's IMHO
enough to install init script for systemV-like init systems.

[Thomas:
 - slightly simplify the script by removing the MODEMMANAGER_BIN
variable which was used at only one place, and use directly $?
instead of an intermediate $ret variable.
 - split the too long line added in the .mk file.]
