7197b1bc44 package/environment-setup: fix spelling of the script file in the manual.
The manual incorrectly refers to the script file as `setup-environment';
it is actually called `environment-setup'.

26cb4e72e1 package/environment-setup: add configure alias
In order to simplify the usage of a buildroot toolchain within
the buildroot shell, a "configure" alias is provided to call
./configure with the correct flags.

f56a715e3c package/environment-setup: new package
Install an helper script to setup a build environment based on
Buildroot. It's useful when a developer wants to use a Buildroot
generated SDK to build an external project.

c32ad51cbf core/sdk: generate the SDK tarball ourselves
Currently, the wording in the manual instructs the user to generate a
tarball from "the contents of the +output/host+ directory".

This is pretty confusing, because taken literally, this would amount to
running a command like:

    tar cf my-sdk.tar -C output/host/ .

This creates a tarbomb [0], which is very bad practice, because when
extracted, it creates multiple files in the current directory.

What one really wants to do, is create a tarball of the host/ directory,
with something like:

    tar cf my-sdk.tar -C output host/

However, this is not much better, because the top-most directory would
have a very common name, host/, which is pretty easy to get conflict
with when it gets extracted.

So, we fix that mess by giving the top-most directory a recognisable
name, based on the target tuple, which we also use as the name of the
archive (suffixed with the usual +.tar.gz+.) We offer the user the
possibility to override that default by specifying the +BR2_SDK_PREFIX+
variable on the command line.

Since this is an output file, we place it in the images/ directory.

As some users expressed a very strong feeling that they do not want to
generate a tarball at all, and that doing so would badly hurt their
workflows [1], we actually prepare the SDK as was previously done, but
under the new, intermediate rule 'prepare-sdk'. The existing 'sdk' rule
obviously depend on that before generating the tarball.

We choose to make the existing rule to generate the tarball, and
introduce a new rule to just prepare the SDK, rather than keep the
existing rule as-is and introduce a new one to generate the tarball,
because it makes sense to have the simplest rule do the correct thing,
leaving advanced, power users use the longest command. If someone
already had a wrapper that called 'sdk' and expected just the host
directory to be prepared, then this is not broken; it just takes a bit
longer (gzip is pretty fast).

Update the manual accordingly.

569db40574 manual: high-level restructuring
The structure of the buildroot manual is not always clear. There is a large
number of chapters, and some chapters seem to overlap. The distinction
between general usage and developer information is not always clear.

This patch restructures the manual into four large parts:
- getting started
- user guide
- developer guide
- appendix

Except for the names of these parts, the section names are not yet changed.
Content-wise there are no changes yet either. This will be handled in
subsequent patches.

In order to achieve the introduction of a new level 'parts' above
'chapters', the section indicators (=, ==, ===, ...) of several sections
have to be moved one level down. Additionally, the leveloffset indication to
asciidoc has to be removed. Finally, to maintain more or less the same level
of detail in the table of contents, the toc.section.depth attribute is
reduced as well. Note that for some sections, less detail is visible now.

86a415df8a manual: use one-line titles instead of two-line titles (trivial)
Asciidoc supports two syntaxes for section titles: two-line titles (title
plus underline consisting of a particular symbol), and one-line titles
(title prefixed with a specific number of = signs).

The two-line title underlines are:
Level 0 (top level):     ======================
Level 1:                 ----------------------
Level 2:                 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Level 3:                 ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Level 4 (bottom level):  ++++++++++++++++++++++

and the one-line title prefixes:
= Document Title (level 0) =
== Section title (level 1) ==

=== Section title (level 2) ===
==== Section title (level 3) ====
===== Section title (level 4) =====

The buildroot manual is currenly using the two-line titles, but this has
multiple disadvantages:

- asciidoc also uses some of the underline symbols for other purposes (like
  preformatted code, example blocks, ...), which makes it difficult to do
  mass replacements, such as a planned follow-up patch that needs to move
  all sections one level down.

- it is difficult to remember which level a given underline symbol (=-~^+)
  corresponds to, while counting = signs is easy.

This patch changes all two-level titles to one-level titles in the manual.
The bulk of the change was done with the following Python script, except for
the level 1 titles (-----) as these underlines are also used for literal
code blocks.
This patch only changes the titles, no other changes. In
adding-packages-directory.txt, I did add missing newlines between some
titles and their content.

5e84b8b73c manual: rework the whole documentation stub
The new skeleton of the manual as it has been thought:
1.  About Buildroot:
     Presentation of Buildroot
2.  Starting up:
     Everything to quickly and easily start working with Buildroot
3.  Working with Buildroot
     Basics to make your work fitting your needs
4.  Troubleshooting
5. Going further in Buildroot's innards
     Explaination of how buildroot is organised, how it works, etc
6.  Developer Guidelines
7.  Getting involved
8.  Contibuting to Buildroot
9.  Legal notice
10. Appendix

It is easy to distinguish two parts in this plan:
- Sections 1 to 4 mainly address people starting with Buildroot
- Sections 5 to 10 are more focused on how to develop Buildroot itself

Most of the existing sections have just been moved in the hierarchy,
few were split and dispatch in, what i think was the relevant section,
and numerous others have been created.
